Asolo Rep Postpones Performance of FOUNTAIN

Asolo Rep announced today that they have postponed the June 11 performance of FOUNTAIN in solidarity with black communities across the nation. A part of the Theatre's four-part new musical competition, GROUND FLOOR: MAKING MUSICALS, FOUNTAIN is now scheduled to be performed on Thursday, July 23 at 6pm.

Asolo Rep announced today that the dates for it's four-part new musical competition, GROUND FLOOR: MAKING MUSICALS have been adjusted. Part two of the series, FOUNTAIN, originally scheduled to be released on June 4, was postponed in solidarity with black communities across the nation.

Today, National Queer Theater announced the inaugural Criminal Queerness Festival, an official WorldPride partner event, which will take place June 13 - July 7, 2019 at IRT Theater. Coinciding with WorldPride 2019 and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the festival explores the criminalization of LGBTQ communities in the 70 countries where it is still illegal to be gay, lesbian, bisexual, and/or transgender.

Asolo Rep proudly presents an FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training touring production of William Shakespeare's magical masterpiece THE TEMPEST. This inventive, new 45-minute adaptation will be directed by Asolo Rep Associate Artistic Director Celine Rosenthal and adapted by Tyler Dobrowsky, who streamlined last season's touring production of Julius Caesar. The ninth annual educational touring production will travel to schools and community venues throughout the state of Florida from September 25 through November 19. There will also be a special performance for educators, press and the public on Friday, September 28 at 6pm in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.
