The cast of The X-Files, including David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, have reunited virtually to record a special version of the showa??s famous theme tune - with lyrics, for the first time - to benefit the World Central Kitchen.

Storyhouse in Chester has announced a series of family films that deserve to be experienced on the big screen.

In a one-of-a-kind, heartfelt tribute to a Hollywood legend, the stars of some of TV and film's most iconic titles, including “Happy Days,” “Laverne & Shirley,” “Mork & Mindy,” “Pretty Woman” and “The Princess Diaries,” come together to celebrate “The Happy Days of Garry Marshall,” airing Tuesday, May 12, on ABC.

“The Walking Dead” franchise has been a favorite of Wizard World fans since the original show first aired on AMC on Halloween 2010. Now, almost 10 years later, Wizard World Cleveland attendees will have the opportunity to be among the first to see the premier episode of the newest series in the 'TWD' Universe, “The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” during a special, advanced screening on Saturday, March 7 at 6:15 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

Netflix showcased a slate of upcoming live action series and films at Netflix Originals Festival held in Tokyo, Japan on 25 June. The Folger Shakespeare Library will host the DC premiere of Ghost Light, a new dark comedy by filmmakers John Stimpson and Geoffrey Taylor. According to Variety, actress Stephanie Hsu is set to join the cast of the third season of the Amazon hit series THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL. Also joining the cast is Cary Elwes (THE PRINCESS BRIDE) and the previously announced Sterling K. Brown (THIS IS US).

Unity Productions Foundation announces that Mena Massoud, star of the upcoming Disney film ALADDIN, will play the lead role of Rumi in the upcoming animated feature film LAMYA'S POEM, which is written and will be directed by Alexander Kronemer, with Sam Kadi (THE CITIZEN), who is a producer, and Brandon Lloyd as Director of Animation for PiP Animation Studios in Canada. Financed by Unity, the film also stars Millie Davis (WONDER), andFaran Tahir (IRON MAN). The film is scheduled for production this summer with Sam Kadi presenting a teaser for the first time at the upcoming Marche du Film in Cannes.

Founded by writer/director, JR Niles, The Hollywood Women's Film Institute has announced that they will host a film festival and panel series, with the film WHY NOT CHOOSE LOVE? A MARY PICKFORD MANIFESTO set as the opening night event at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on June 13th. 

BroadwayWorld has just learned that three Broadway favorites are set to bring The Princess Bride to life onstage. A Disney Theatrical spokesperson has confirmed that that David Yazbek (Tootsie, The Band's Visit) will write the score, and Bob Martin (The Prom) and Rick Elice (The Cher Show) will co-write the book for the new musical.
