The Kimmel Center Cultural Campus, along with Resident Company support from The Philly POPS and the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, celebrates Black History Month in February 2020 with an array of FREE and ticketed programming honoring African American artistic expression and culture.

It's another Sold Out Concert for The New York Pops Holiday Concert at Carnegie Hall tonight and in addition the open rehearsal was also sold out.  

The enduring legacy of one of America's most decorated composers has been the basis for launching the Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards, aimed at recognizing and enabling the next generation of music composition talent. The sold out inaugural concert and awards ceremony last month in New York was organized in collaboration with Queens College and took place at Lefrak Concert Hall of the Kupferberg Center for the Arts. Celebrities Martha Stewart, Brian d'Arcy James, Robert Klein, Joe Torre, Marissa McGowan and Paul Shaffer presented the awards and star singer Capathia Jenkins made a surprise guest appearance.

The New York Pops performs the timeless music of Rodgers and Hammerstein on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. in Find Your Dream: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein joined by guest artists Laura Michelle Kelly and Max von Essen, as well as Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA. The concert spans all eleven of Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic collaborations, including 'People Will Say We're in Love' from Oklahoma!, 'You'll Never Walk Alone' from Carousel, 'Some Enchanted Evening' from South Pacific, 'I Have Dreamed' from The King and I, and 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain' from The Sound of Music.

The New York Pops will honor the songwriting duo Kristen and Bobby Lopez at its 37th Birthday Gala on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The festive concert features the couple's iconic worksa?"written with each other, as well as with other collaboratorsa?"performed by The New York Pops, under the music direction of Steven Reineke, along with a starry line-up of guest artists to be announced.

Carnegie Hall's 2019a?"2020 season is upon us, and we are looking forward to a variety of exceptional programming and exciting new projects. A major programming highlight to note for this fall, Carnegie Hall has invited Grammy Award-winning singer Angélique Kidjo to chart the journey of African music and culture around the world for her season-long Perspectives series with four concerts including: Benin International Musical; a concert dedicated to the powerful voices of the African diaspora led by musical director Terence Blanchard featuring The E-Collective; guitarist Lionel Loueke and his trio; and a special concert marking both Ms. Kidjo's 60th birthday and the anniversary of independence for Benin and 16 other West African countries.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO), under the direction of Music Director Louis Langrée, and the Cincinnati Pops, under the direction of Pops Conductor John Morris Russell, are preparing for the 2019-20 season with sales of single tickets to all upcoming performances.
