The National Theatre today announced dates and venues for the 2017 tour of its multi-award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling book by Simon Stephens and directed by Marianne Elliott.

The National Theatre hosts a special platform with the original creative team of its award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time on Thursday 1 June at 5.15pm, following the matinee performance at the Gielgud Theatre in London.  The discussion will be chaired by ITV's Arts Editor, Nina Nannar.

The Detroit premier of the National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME will play the Fisher Theatre, May 2- 14, 2017 as part of a North American Tour.

Through the heightened use of sights, sounds, and technically stylized staging, this Tony Award-winning play creates a world of frightening sensory overload that enables the viewer to empathize viscerally with a boy who can't empathize with others.

The National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME is the Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel. Directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott, the critically acclaimed production will be performed at Wharton Center's Cobb Great Hall on April 11 through 16.

Based on Mark Haddon's 2003 mystery novel of the same name, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time follows Christopher Boone, a fifteen-year-old boy with an extraordinary brain, yet has trouble with communications. When he falls under suspicion of killing his neighbor's dog, he sets out to solve the mystery.
