THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME Begins Australian Tour

The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier and Tony Award®-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME has opened in Brisbane (playing until 24 June) as part of an Australian tour including Canberra from 27 June, Sydney from 4 July, Adelaide from 31 July and Perth from 8 August. The tour comes after an acclaimed sell-out debut season in Melbourne earlier in the year and an Asian tour. 

BWW Interview: Sam Psyk and Joshua Lacey On MACBETH NT Live Broadcast

Continuing our interview series of NT Live broadcasts, this month's focuses on Macbeth at the National Theatre. Directed by Rufus Norris and featuring Rory Kinnear and Anne-Marie Duff, Macbeth will be broadcast live to cinemas across the UK and in selected international venues from Thursday 10 May. Joshua Lacey and Sam Psyk share their thoughts ahead of the broadcast, one who'll be on stage on the night and one behind the scenes (and screen).

Today, Elaine Paige and Alexandra Burke announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2018 with Mastercard, UK's most prestigious stage honours. The 2018 awards are set to be an exciting occasion with original new work dominating the categories and a significant number of artists receiving their first ever Olivier nominations. Catherine Tate will host the Awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 8 April and they will be broadcast to the UK and worldwide.

National Theatre Announces New Casting for Upcoming Season

New casting announced for the new National Theatre season. Full cast has been announced for Brian Friel's Translations including Colin Morgan and Ciaran Hinds, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Eric Kofi Abrefa and Thalissa Teixeira join Vanessa Kirby in the cast of Julie, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Sam Mendes directs The Lehman Trilogy, a co-production with Neal Street Productions, cast includes Adam Godley, Ben Miles and Simon Russell Beale. Full casting is announced for the award winning An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, transferring to the National Theatre in a co-production with the Orange Tree Theatre. The NT will tour to 30 venues in 27 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, for a total of 83 playing weeks over the next year. Rufus Norris' Macbeth to tour to 18 venues across the UK and Ireland from autumn 2018. War Horse returns to the National Theatre marking the centenary of Armistice Day.

Mel Giedroyc Joins Patti LuPone in Re-Imagined West End Production of COMPANY

It was announced today (Friday 2 February 2018) that Mel Giedroyc will join the cast of Elliott & Harper's highly anticipated new production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Tony award-winning musical, Company, directed by Marianne Elliott. It will run at the Gielgud Theatre from 26 September 2018 for a limited run.

Marianne Elliott will be directing a new production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Tony award-winning musical, Company. For the first time ever, the lead role of Bobby will be re-imagined as a woman. Company will run at the Gielgud Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue from 26 September 2018 for a strictly limited season, with public booking opening today.

BWW Review: JULIUS CAESAR, Bridge Theatre

Julius Caesar has arrived at the Bridge Theatre, nestled beside London's City Hall and Tower Bridge. Featuring a large section of the audience in promenade in the 'pit', this kinetic, frenetic production with a universally strong cast feels up-to-date and accessible for a broad audience.

Nicholas Hytner's production of Julius Caesar, the London Theatre Company's second production at the Bridge Theatre, runs from 20 January to 15 April 2018, with opening night on Tuesday 30 January 2018. Designs are by Bunny Christie, with costumes by Christina Cunningham, music by Nick Powell, lighting by Bruno Poet and sound by Paul Arditti.
