The hit Chicago musical set against the backdrop of the Chicago Cubs 2016 championship season, MIRACLE, is announcing its final weeks, closing on Sunday, September 29. Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 48th annual summer season of professional live theatre with a BANG with the rockin' and rollin' musical Million Dollar Quartet, written by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux. Performances will run from August 28 – September 13 with evening show times at 7:30. Matinees are available on August 30, September 1, 4, 5, 8 and 11 at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. The Walnut Street Theatre opens its 2019-20 Independence Studio on 3 season with Steve Martin's new comedy, METEOR SHOWER. Directed by Debi Marcucci, the production begins previews on September 10, opens September 19, and has already been extended through October 27.

In honor of the 108 years it took the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series, MIRACLE, the hit Chicago musical set against the backdrop of the Chicago Cubs 2016 championship season, is thrilled to celebrate its 108th performance on Friday, August 30th with a special event at the Royal George Theatre (1641 N. Halsted) beginning at 7:15 p.m. The scheduled performance of the production will follow at 8 p.m.

The Muny has announced that Broadway talents and Muny audience favorites Mikaela Bennett and Jason Gotay will headline the eighth installment of its off-season concert series, Muny Magic at The Sheldon, November 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Does everyone love Buddy Holly? The Brits certainly do. Alan Janes' BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY opened on the West End in London in 1989 and ran for eight years the first time, toured the United Kingdom over 25 years, and was revived for a year on the West End in 2007, so there's been massive love for the show there for three decades. It's been here, too, as BUDDY opened on Broadway in 1990 and has kept going around America since then as well.

Celebrating over a quarter-century of music-making, Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys bring their swinging brand of neo-rockabilly back to Club Helsinki Hudson on Friday, November 8, at 9pm.
