Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) is known for its high-quality Broadway musical performances but its Monday night concert series, produced in partnership with TAD Management, has been bringing concert-goers to the theatre for almost a decade.

Today, Josh Rouse released a new collection of holiday originals called The Holiday Sounds of Josh Rouse via Yep Roc Records. Offering a fresh approach to the season, Rouse's first-ever holiday album showcases his effortless blend of folk, pop and rock, with beautiful harmonies, infectious melodies and transportive, emphatic storytelling. Goodspeed Musicals has announced this year's cast of A Connecticut Christmas Carol - the musical treat infused with Connecticut flavor by LJ Fecho and Michael O'Flaherty. Perfect for the holidays, A Connecticut Christmas Carol, the family-friendly take on the Dickens classic, will return to The Terris Theatre December 4 - 28, 2019. This production is supported in part by the Richard P. Garmany Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Masonicare at Chester Village and GKN Aerospace Services Structures Corporation.

The University of Guelph broke ground today on the renewal and expansion of its performing arts facilities. Diamond Schmitt Architects designed the 45,000-square-foot project, which aims to inspire the next generation of artists, musicians and performers.

 New Village Arts is thrilled to announce the upcoming production of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, written by Laura Eason, from the novel by Jules Verne. Directed by NVA Executive Artistic Director Kristianne Kurner, this production will feature original music from San Diego's own Pirate-themed folk-rock band, The Shantyannes (Joseph Freeman and Renee Moreno), with arrangements by Tony Houck, who also serves as Music Director for the production. This is an exciting, witty, and action-packed new adaptation of the classic story. 

Broadway stars Adinah Alexander and Brandi Chavonne Massey have been friends for years, ever since starring together in Wicked. On Monday, October 21 at 7pm, the two will be singing up a storm at the weekly PIANO BAR LIVE!at Brandy's Piano Bar on the Upper East Side.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) opens its 46th Winter Mainstage Season with the Florida Premiere of the uplifting, five-time Tony-nominated musical, Bright Star. Called a?oeA shining achievementa?? by The New York Times, Bright Star tells a story of love and forgiveness set against the vibrant backdrop of the American South in the 1940s. With Music, Book, and Story by Steve Martin and Music, Lyrics, and Story by Edie Brickell, Bright Star will run in FST's Gompertz Theatre starting November 6.

I've recently had the great pleasure of interviewing actress Addie Morales, who is currently in rehearsals for North Carolina Theatre's upcoming production of West Side Story, where she'll be starring in the coveted role of Maria. Addie has previously played the role numerous times regionally at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Barrington Stage Company, Casa Mañana, and New London Barn. Her other regional credits include Tick, Tick, Boom at Playhouse Square and The Buddy Holly Story at Casa Mañana.

The Muny has announced that St. Louis native and longtime Muny performer, Alex Prakken will star alongside the previously announced Mikaela Bennett in the eighth installment of its off-season concert series, Muny Magic at The Sheldon, November 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m.
