Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that the 11th annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals are now open and will run through April 18, 2022. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place in person in NYC for the first time since 2019.

Playwrights Horizons today announced its 2022–2023 season. Brought together amidst the easing of a reality-altering pandemic —during which desire for a “return to normal” began to feel at once futile and shortsighted—the lineup consists of five works that consider and radically challenge the very idea of normalcy.

A revival of Bruce Norris’s biting satire Clybourne Park still feels relevant today to questions of racial tension and gentrification. 

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, has announced Federal Hall: The Democracy Project with Larissa FastHorse, Michael R. Jackson, and Bruce Norris on April 4, 2022 at 7:30pm at the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, has announced an addition to the 21/22 season with Michael R. Jackson's A Strange Loop, featuring Raja Feather Kelly, Stephen Brackett, and Rona Siddiqui on April 3, 2022 at 7:30 pm.

Pulitzer Prize winning Clybourne Park was fully rehearsed and ready to run at Park Theatre for its 10th Anniversary back in 2020. Covid prevented the revival from materialising but now, two years later, it is finally set to return to the London stage. Actor Imogen Stubbs took time out of rehearsals to speak with BroadwayWorld about the production.

Winner of both the Tony and Olivier Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for author Bruce Norris, Clybourne Park is a razor-sharp satire about the politics of race and real estate. The play returns to London following sell out runs at The Royal Court and in the West End.

This thrilling and often hilarious one-man show takes you back to the Ship of Dreams. The show distills the three-plus hour epic and packs it into just one hour — a surprisingly subversive punch for a project whose source is a 90s Blockbuster film, created by one of Hollywood's most notorious directors.

Joining the previously announced Michael Fox (Jim/Tom), Andrew Langtree (Karl/Steve), Richard Lintern (Russ/Dan), Imogen Stubbs (Bev/Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert/Kevin) are Katie Matsell (Betsy/Lindsey) and Aliyah Odoffin (Francine/Lena).

Arts On Site NYC is set to present the live, in-person New York Premiere of SHARK! The show is conceived and performed by John Fisher and directed by Jerry Metzker and John Fisher. It features lighting design by Jonathan Belcher and stage management by Stephanie Niemann. The production runs for two performances only on Sunday, February 27th, 2022 at 2pm and 4pm EST. 

Sassymouth will present a free On-Line Presentation of M2, conceived and performed by John Fisher, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 8:00pm EST.

Having had to shut down the production of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park at final dress rehearsal in March 2020, Trish Wadley Productions and David Adkin, in association with Park Theatre, have announced that the production, originally planned for the play's 10th anniversary year, will open at the venue in March.

Bucks County Playhouse has announced “Never Let Go” as the first show of the 2022 Visiting Artist Series. Performed by Michael Kinnan, “Never Let Go” is a one-man marvel, Burlesque-style show that hysterically and ingeniously retells James Cameron’s three-hour-plus blockbuster film as a one-hour play.

The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for Lorraine Hansberry’s theatrical masterpiece A Raisin in the Sun, directed by acclaimed Twin Cities artist Austene Van. A Raisin in the Sun will play January 8 – February 12, 2022, on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Almost 40 celebrities will take to the Park200 stage completely unrehearsed to play the Inspector in a brand new farcical whodunnit as part of a vital fundraiser for Park Theatre in February and March 2022.
