OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES Opens July 11 At The Eisemann Center

Philip Roger Roy and Playhouse Productions, Inc. have announced a limited engagement of the off Broadway hit Old Jews Telling Jokes at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations Bank of America Theatre. The visiting production is set to open on Thursday, July 11, at 2pm and the engagement will continue through Sunday, July 28.

A slew of Broadway favorites have been tapped to perform in a Pride special on June 30 (11am). Presented by ABC News Live, The Broadway League, and Disney Theatrical Productions, 'PRIDE on ABC News Live' will be filmed in part from The New Amsterdam Theatre, current home of Aladdin.

Fiddler on the Roof first debuted on Broadway in 1964 and in the intervening 55 years, it's become a beloved standard in the Broadway musical canon, being revived many times and performed on stages all over the world in productions both professional and amateur. The heartwarming tale of the world-weary dairyman Tevye, his long-suffering wife Golde, their five(!) daughters and their suitors and all of the other inhabitants of the Russian village of Anatevka has been delighting audiences ever since that initial mounting and rather than growing old and rather precious over time, Fiddler on the Roof instead has become even more relevant, particularly in the current socio-political climate in which immigrants have become political pawns and in which change is constant.

Bank Of New Hampshire Stage Holds Ribbon Cutting On June 24

Following a sneak peek performance on June 22, 2019 by Ed Balloon and Bosey Joe, the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA) formally commemorated the opening of the new Bank of New Hampshire Stage with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 3PM. Guests and dignitaries included Concord Mayor James Bouley; representatives from the offices of Jeanne Shaheen, Maggie Hassan, and Annie Kuster; and key project stakeholders.

Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival Announces Cast for ROMEO & JULIET

The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival today announced its cast line up for this summer's Shakespeare by the Sea 29 production of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. The free, outdoor event is presented in partnership with Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation on July 11 - 14 and July 18 - 21 at the Seabreeze Amphitheatre in Carlin Park, Jupiter.

TV Land's YOUNGER Partners With The United State of Women On PSA

 TV Land's hit series Younger has teamed up with The United State of Women on a Public Service Announcement in support of the Violence Against Women Act. Currently, long-standing funds to help and protect survivors of gender-based violence are under threat. This PSA features the full Younger cast - Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, Molly Bernard and Charles Michael Davis - urging fans to take action and help get the Violence Against Women Act renewed. 

GREY GARDENS Extends Run at RTP

Richmond Triangle Players announces a two-week extension to the run of the musical Grey Gardens, which opened Friday June 14, 2019. The production will now run through Saturday, July 27, instead of the original closing date of July 13.

George Clooney to Direct and Star In GOOD MORNING, MIDNIGHT For Netflix

Netflix announced today that Academy Award Winner George Clooney is in pre-production on an untitled feature project for Netflix that he will direct and star in. Mark L. Smith adapted the screenplay from the novel Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. Smokehouse Pictures' Grant Heslov (Academy Award Winner) and Clooney will produce alongside Anonymous Content and Syndicate Entertainment, who sourced the material.
