Theatre Wesleyan Will Present Free Outdoor Rock Musical-inspired Concert

Theatre Wesleyan will present OH, WHAT A NIGHT! – a free outdoor concert featuring students singing songs from popular rock musicals – on the Kay Granger Mall lawn at Texas Wesleyan University (1201 Wesleyan Street, 76105) from April 23-25, 2021. The production will also be available to live stream.

Theatre Wesleyan will present the Anton Chekhov classic, Uncle Vanya, at the Thad Smotherman Theatre at Texas Wesleyan University (1205 Binkley Street, 76105) from March 26-28. This production of the play will use a 95-minute one-act adaptation translated by Eugene K. Bristow.

Damon Fowler to Release New Album 'Alafia Moon'

Damon Fowler is proud to announce the release of his eighth album, Alafia Moon. It will drop via Landslide Records March 26, 2021. Florida's Gulf Coast has produced a plethora of distinctive musicians, from the blues of Tampa Red to jazz greats Cannonball and Nat Adderley to former Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts to The Outlaws.

Bristow.

Theatre Wesleyan's 'Six Plays At Six Feet' semester of fall programming continues with an outdoor production of an original play written and directed by professor of theatre Connie Whitt-Lambert.  The production will be performed on the lawn of the Kay Granger Mall at Texas Wesleyan University.

h Foundation Announces 2019 Exclusive Festive Online Auction To Support Young Creatives

Today the h Foundation, the charitable arm of h Club London (formerly The Hospital Club) are proud to announce the return of their festive online auction. The auction, which runs for two weeks from midday on Thursday 28th November to midnight on Thursday 12th December, raises money to fund h Foundation's three flagship programmes which help support young creatives. All money raised will be match funded by the Paul G Allen Foundation.

Variety reports that Anthony Michael Hall has joined 'Halloween Kills,' an upcoming sequel in the 'Halloween' franchise. Jamie Lee Curtis also stars.

Muse have released their brand new single 'Thought Contagion' which is available on all digital platforms now. The accompanying video is also available. Directed by Lance Drake (who also helmed the band's Dig Down video) 'Thought Contagion' is an '80s infectious neon love story.

DIAL M FOR MURDER Opens At New Theater in Chinatown

There's a new performance venue in San Francisco, and the SF City Theatre Company has found a new home there. The Clarion Music Performing Arts Center is in San Francisco's Chinatown at 2 Waverly Place (at Sacramento Street.) SFCTC's first offering in the new venue will be Frederick Knott's suspense thriller, Dial M for Murder, March 10-24.

This will be the first year the series expands to include shows from Adelaide, Brighton, Edinburgh, Hollywood and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals. Blamed: An Established Fiction was selected from the Hollywood Fringe Festival and will be playing in September.

Lava Rock presents Legends of Rock at Raue Center For The Arts 8/10

BWW Review: Courtney Act Glitters in THE GIRL FROM OZ at the Laurie Beechman

A cyclone of camp with a true gift for one-liners and an even stronger voice, Courtney Act followed the yellow brick road past the crowd to hit the stage in THE GIRL FROM OZ. Despite several homages to THE WIZARD OF OZ, the May 4 show at the Laurie Beechman Theatre was centered on that other, no less magical Oz: Australia. In fact, the RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE alum's entire set list was comprised of songs famously written or sung by Aussies.
