The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Broadway Across America have announced the 2022-2023 Broadway in Miami season in the Ziff Ballet Opera House with a five-show subscription package that includes two South Florida premieres, two Miami premieres and a highly anticipated return.

Ook dit jaar kan het publiek bepalen welke musical van het afgelopen seizoen, volgens hen, de beste is via de Leukstetickets.nl Publieksprijs voor Beste Musical. Publiek kan sinds begin maart hun stem uitbrengen op leukstetickets.nl. De prijsuitreiking vindt plaats op 28 april 2022 in RTM Stage, de grote theaterzaal van Rotterdam Ahoy en wordt om 20.35 uur live uitgezonden door AVROTROS op NPO1. Entering the theatre, we see nought but a lone piano on the stage. This unassuming opening to An American in Paris could lead an unknowing audience member to think they were about to see a lean and understated production - but oh how wrong they would be. This musical is a veritable smorgasbord of colour, joy and movement. This reviewer spent the entire show with wide eyes, a beaming smile, and a full heart.

National Theatre Live broadcasts Ralph Fiennes in David Hare's new play Straight Line Crazy from the Bridge Theatre to cinemas worldwide, 26 May in the UK / Ireland, and 8 September internationally.

Joining Ralph Fiennes (Robert Moses) in the world premiere of David Hare’s Straight Line Crazy are Alisha Bailey (Mariah Heller), Samuel Barnett (Ariel Porter), David Bromley (Stamford Fergus), and more. Directed by Nicholas Hytner at The Bridge, performances are from 16 March – 18 June 2022 with opening night on 23 March 2022.

An American in Paris does what it expects to do, it takes you away into a world of technicolour and jazz and then returns you feeling a bit better than before. Whilst the story lacks, technically it's divine. And in this case, that's enough.

Tony Award® nominee and original Broadway cast member Jonathan Freeman will play his final performance as Jafar in Disney’s hit musical Aladdin on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Current Jafar/Sultan standby and fellow original Broadway cast member Dennis Stowe will assume the role beginning Tuesday, January 25.
