Playwright Theresa Rebeck, who is currently represented on Broadway with Bernhardt/Hamlet, will make an appearance tomorrow, October 2 (5-6:30pm), at the Drama Book Shop (250 W 40th St). The festivities will include a discussion about her career and current projects, followed by a signing.

Matthew Warchus' fourth season as Artistic Director of The Old Vic completes with an Arthur Miller double-bill, a World Premiere by Lucy Prebble and a special One Voice performance. According to Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail, Jenna Coleman, and Colin Morgan will join Academy Award-winner Sally Field and actor Bill Pullman on stage in Arthur Miller's modern classic All My Sons, in Headlong Theatre's production at the Old Vic Theatre.

The Television Academy tonight presented the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday night honoring outstanding artistic and technical achievement in television at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The Saturday ceremony, which kicked-off the 70th Emmys, awarded many talented artists and craftspeople in the categories of animation, scripted programming including comedy, drama and limited series. The Sunday ceremony honored performers, artists and craftspeople for excellence in variety, nonfiction or reality programming, reality competition programming, music, choreography, as well as documentary or nonfiction specials, informational series or specials.

YouTube has given a pilot order to Smash creator Theresa Rebeck's new comedy, according to Deadline. The show's working title is It's a Man's World and it's a half-hour comedy that takes on gender inequality in the gaming industry.

Sally Field and Bill Pullman will star as Kate and Joe Keller in Arthur Miller's All My Sons, directed by Jeremy Herrin, in a co-production with Headlong Theatre at The Old Vic in Spring 2019. Further casting and dates are to be announced.

Animus Theatre Company (Jonathan Judge-Russo, Founding Artistic Director) in association with the Circle in the Square Professional Workshop, has announced the schedule and casting for its annual 12-Hour Reading Festival, which returns to Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre this Thursday, July 19, beginning at 11:00am. Two powerful New York institutions, Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn and the renowned theater company The New Group, have announced a new partnership to help train the next generation of great actors. A new B.F.A program in Acting for Theatre, Film and Television, starting in Fall 2018, will be founded on the studio model, where students will study stage acting, voice, and movement under the supervision and guidance of faculty in collaboration with the award-winning The New Group. 

Trinity Repertory Company announced today that actress Mary McDonnell will be honored with the 2018 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts at the theater's 22nd annual Pell Awards Gala on Monday, May 21, 2018. A two-time Oscar nominee for Dances with Wolves and Passion Fish, McDonnell's theater, film and television career has spanned more than four decades with dynamic character portrayals in period and present-day roles, including TNT's The Closer and Major Crimes, Syfy's Battlestar Galactica, Donnie Darko, and Sneakers.

The New Group has announced full casting and creative team for Lily Thorne's Peace for Mary Frances, with Heather Burns, Johanna Day, Natalie Gold, Mia Katigbak, Paul Lazar, Brian Miskell, Melle Powers and J. Smith-Cameron joining, as previously announced, Lois Smith in this world premiere production directed by Lila Neugebauer.

Roundabout Theatre Company will present the world premiere of the Roundabout - commissioned play, Bernhardt/Hamlet by Pulitzer finalist Theresa Rebeck, directed by Tony nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel, will kick off Roundabout's 2018 - 2019 Broadway season.

The New Group has announced a second extension for the New York premiere production of David Rabe's Good for Otto, which will now play its final performance on Sunday, April 15.  Due to demand, the company previously announced a one week extension through April 8.
