Contra Costa Civic Theatre will return to live, in-person Main Stage productions this fall with one of the giants of the American theatre, Thornton Wilder's Our Town.

The North Fork TV Festival's Pitch Forum has selected six next-generation creators of new television or digital series projects in association with The Gersh Agency and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

The musical tells the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, an ensemble of six talented young men in 1920s Germany who took the world by storm with their signature blend of sophisticated close harmonies and uproarious stage antics, until their inclusion of Jewish singers put them on a collision course with history.

HAIR feels like a fitting show to open after the extended theatre shut down; it's full of hope, rage, protests, and the desire to make change happen. The Old Globe brings back this musical with an incredibly talented cast who have outstanding vocals, and direction that shows how relevant the show's themes still are today.  HAIR is playing at The Old Globe through October 3rd.

Twin Cities based performing artist Emily Michaels King announced today the remount  of her recent virtual theatrical work, DIGITAL, performing August 5-15 for the Minnesota Fringe Festival.  

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS will release Little Shop of Horrors – The New Cast Album on CD online and in stores Tuesday, September 21, the same day the acclaimed, Off-Broadway revival resumes performances at the Westside Theatre.

The season opens with another world premiere: Micah Roberts' 'Hypernovae,' a fantastic overture inspired by the cosmos, which also marks the conclusion of the LCO's first ever call-for-scores. Roberts' score was selected from over 120 compositions, which came from 9 different countries. Other featured living composers include Anna Clyne, Arnold Friedman, Mark Berger, Karl Henning, and Lowell's own Aaron Rosenberg.

Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young - former 'American Idol' contestants who are married in real life - will co-star in a new virtual production of the 2013 Broadway musical comedy, First Date. The production, directed by Meg Fofonoff, will stream for five performances from July 23-25 on the ticketing platform, Stellar. Lake Tahoe Dance Collective enters its ninth year of presenting the Lake Tahoe Dance Festival, which will take place this summer from July 27-30, 2021 at 6pm at venues in Tahoe City and Truckee, CA for in-person audiences.
