Wingspace Theatrical Design will present two free virtual salons in June on issues of equity in the performing arts community. Representatives from No More 10 out of 12s and the Asian American Performers Action Committee will be in conversation with Wingspace members discussing pressing issues facing the theater community as the industry restarts.

Today, Red Bull Theater announced a very special benefit reading of  Ben Jonson’s classic comedy, Volpone, or The Fox directed by Jesse Berger, Red Bull’s Founder and Artistic Director. First produced by Red Bull Theater in 2012, this new version will feature emendations & elaborations by director Berger and playwright Jeffrey Hatcher.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS have just announced that Tony Award Nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, American Son) will finally be able to take the stage as Seymour, alongside original cast members Emmy Award winner Tammy Blanchard (Life with Judy Garland, Gypsy) as Audrey and two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten!, Falsettos) as Orin Scrivello, D.D.S.. 

Dancers of the Met, an independent collective of dancers who have performed with the Metropolitan Opera throughout the seasons, is joining with furloughed members of the Met Orchestra and Met Chorus Artists to produce an outdoor NYC concert on Sunday, May 16. 

The podcast was created by Rhys Wakefield, who starred in season three of HBO’s True Detective and William Day Frank, who produced the 2019 comedy thriller BERSERK, directed by Wakefield.

Park Avenue Armory has announced the 100 Years | 100 Women Conversation Series in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a continuation of the 100 Years | 100 Women initiative celebrating the centennial of the 19th Amendment's ratification granting some women the right to vote.
