Theatre 40, the professional non-profit theatre company of Beverly Hills, is roaring back with a season of eight plays. 

They say “April showers bring May flowers” and the Goodspeed expertly planted their garden perfectly: This May and June, Everything is coming up roses, with Gypsy!

Wednesday afternoon, May 24th, at the iconic theatre district’s Sardi’s, the Tony-nominated songwriting team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman were honored with original portraits as they join the legendary walls full of their esteemed peers. Check out our photos from the event here!

The New York Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, New York City's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, has announced the nominees for the 2023 Bessie Awards. This year's Bessie Awards ceremony will be held on Friday, August 4, at 7:30pm, at Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park as part of Lincoln Center's Summer for the City. The event is free and open to the public.

This afternoon at the iconic theatre district’s Sardi’s, the Tony nominated songwriting team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman were honored with original portraits as they join the legendary walls full of their esteemed peers. Before revealing their new caricatures, Shaiman brought Darlene Love and Annie Golden to the piano with him. He paused the ceremony to acknowledge the passing of the Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina Turner. Taking a moment to honor all she has contributed to music, he began to play “River Deep, Mountain High” with Darlene and Annie on vocals. Soon the whole room joined in the sing-along to honor her memory. See the video!

Tennessee Shakespeare Company has been approved for a $10,000 Arts Projects grant award from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to support the 7th Annual Free Shout-Out Shakespeare Series.
