The upcoming Miami Beach Pop Festival will make history with this year's inaugural event, highlighted by a milestone collaborative tribute to the ultimate music legend, Bob Marley. Set for Friday, November 8, the All-Star Celebration of Bob Marley will showcase a number of once-in-a-lifetime performances, led by eight-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Stephen Marley, joined by his brother and very special guest, four-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, sharing one stage with a diverse lineup of stars. Festival headliner Jack Johnson will also join the celebration, along with Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning singer Nacho, plus GRAMMY® Award-winning frontman of Arcade Fire, Win Butler. The genre-blurring special guests – both announced and unannounced – will come together for one night only to perform a selection of Bob Marley's classic songs, with a superstar reggae band joining each song, guaranteeing an unprecedented evening of musical creativity and transcendent cultural connection under the stars on Miami's iconic South Beach.

Las Vegas Philharmonic (LVP) announces that Christina Castellanos has been appointed as Principal Flute. A member of the orchestra since 2001, Castellanos joined the LVP when she was a senior at UNLV and has remained a strong and dynamic presence in the ensemble.

Celebrated singer/actress Valerie Perri and her twin sons composer/singer/multi-instrumentalists Jack and Benny Lipson are set to bring their unique musical show All in the Family, directed by Barbara Epstein, to the Rubicon Theatre in Ventura for two performances only on Saturday, August 24 at 8pm and Sunday, August 25 at 2pm, it was announced today. In this special, personal evening of music, the family trio interprets selections from the playlist of their unconventional artistic home, spanning Broadway classics, 60s pop hits, and original compositions. Videos, photos, and amusing anecdotes from their lives on and offstage make for a colorful evening, showcasing three voices that blend with an ease only families can achieve.

Kate Davis has shared a new song and video from her upcoming full-length Trophy out November 8 on Solitaire Recordings (Common Holly, Jonathan Something). Brooklyn Vegan premiered the title track today, saying 'It's an instantly satisfying song, one that should appeal to fans of Kate's jazz roots as well as fans of indie rock.' Its video follows the hypnotic performer through a talent show of her own comedic design, as she embodies more personalities — and hairstyles — than displayed to date, and offers new insight into her charming eccentricity. The JCCSF will present a one-night-only event with Debbie Harry on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 7 p.m., as part of its Arts & Ideas 2019a?"20 season.

Jim James, founder and frontman of indie-rock band My Morning Jacket, joins the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Pops for a live performance of his upcoming new album. Led by Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra Teddy Abrams, the concert takes place on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 8 p.m.in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

Florence Foster Jenkins - the 20th century performer who shocked with her confidence that she was a fantastic opera singer when she was absolutely not - was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. So, it only makes sense that Totem Pole Playhouse, just over two hours outside of the city would memorialize her with a production of the biographical musical play Souvenir.

Haven Theatre, newly rebranded as "Haven," announces its 2019-20 Season, kicking off this fall with its fifth consecutive DIRECTORS HAVEN, three short plays showcasing the talents of early career directors, each with razor-sharp and inspiring visions for their work and our industry. Helming this year's productions are Lauren Katz, Aaron Mays and AJ Schwartz.

Boston's Independent Radio, 92.5 the River announced Guster will headline the 18th Annual Riverfest Seaside Music Festival.  The 2019 Festival will be held on Sat., August 24, 2019 from 12 noon - 6 pm at its new location at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA.
