Backed by the harmonious energy of a string quartet, Kishi Bashi (Kaoro Ishibashi) reimagines the sonic worlds of everything from Dvo k's American String Quartet to his own songs reminiscent of contemporary indie pop to Japanese folk songs to Talking Heads covers.

Bridesmen is Los Angeles based Kenton Chen, an indie neo-soul, R&B singer/songwriter who has set out to encourage others to find power within themselves and use compassion to enact change. Known for his work on NBC's Sing-Off, as well as his performances with Postmodern Jukebox and Scary Pockets, Chen's latest project is a radical departure from his jazz/a cappella roots. Chen strives to explore the darker side of human nature, the dichotomy of morality and how to be a good person in a world that ostracizes you, i.e. a 'bridesmen' at a wedding.

Eliot Lewis is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist as well as being a key member of the the Daryl Hall & John Oates band. Eliot is also one of the original featured musicians on MTV's “Live From Daryl's House.” His contributions stand out on some of the best moments from the show including performances with Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren,Train, Grace Potter, Ben Folds, Booker T, Jewel, Rob Thomas, Keb Mo, Jason Mraz, Darius Rucker, Gavin DeGraw and many, many others. Earlier in his career Eliot spent several years as a key member of the The Average White Band. Eliot toured, wrote and also produced several songs for the Scottish soul band.

Regina Spektor's new track “Birdsong,” is out today via Sire Records/Warner Bros. Records. Regina and Matthew's collaboration was the natural outcome of a relationship formed when the two met at an event honoring Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and producer Shonda Rhimes. Their friendship was cemented when the two bonded over poetry, music, the creative process and their shared infatuation with Paul Simon at the American Academy of Poets' Poetry and the Creative Mind in 2016.
The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra announced the November 9 release of its latest album, American Originals: 1918, under the direction of Pops Conductor John Morris Russell. The recording is inspired by America's cultural awakening at the end of the First World War one hundred years ago and the distinctly American musical styles that reflect the country's diversity. This album celebrates and reimagines popular songs of this era that remain fresh and relevant today with acclaimed musical collaborators including Rhiannon Giddens, Steep Canyon Rangers and Pokey LaFarge. The 95th Cincinnati Pops album was recorded live at Cincinnati Music Hall November 10- 12, 2017, and is being released on the Orchestra's label, Fanfare Cincinnati.
The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (COP) explores the sound of the pipa alongside familiar European repertoire with works of Mozart and Dvo?ak. These works for strings by master composers are followed by a traditional Chinese tune arranged by COP's own Dirk Brosse. The Pipa is showcased alongside the Chamber Orchestra's sound in Lou Harrison's Concerto for Pipa with String Orchestra. Wu Man will also first introduce us to the instrument by playing a solo piece for the Pipa in the intimate setting of the Perelman Theater.
