Act II Playhouse in Ambler, PA announces their latest stage production, Buyer and Cellar, written by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Tony Braithwaite and starring Zachary Chiero. The show runs from March 1 through April 2. 

The production team did a great job of making the voices audible and the set inviting to the viewer's eye. There is merchandise to peruse in the lobby and I may be 'dating' myself by saying that the prices are a 'good bargain'. January can be a long and tedious month to put up with, so do yourself a favor and take in 'That Golden Girls Show: A puppet parody ' at the Orpheum Theater this weekend, you'll be happy to have something to smile about when you recall the days of Winter 2022.

This fall is about to get a little more amahzing! That's because Seth Rudetsky, SiriusXM's afternoon Broadway host, musician, actor and award-winning comic, will be returning to Asylum NYC with his hilarious one-man homage to Broadway.

Celebrating the stories of statue-worthy women are seven new plays in monologue form that will be performed virtually on Friday, June 18 at 7 pm (EDT) as a part of Put A Woman On A Pedestal, a StatueFest of theatrical works.

Put a Woman on a Pedestal will honor two dozen women with statues in a virtual evening of original monologues. Statue-worthy women will be the subjects of six plays in monologue form on Friday, May 21 at 7 pm (EDT) on Zoom.

Lovers and Other Strangers is an evening of five untitled comedic one-acts adding up to less than eighty minutes of brilliant comedy writing and wonderful relatable people seduced by love, arguing about love, marrying with love, cheating with love and confused by love. The play was turned into a hit movie starring Diane Keaton, Gig Young, Richard Castellano and Bea Arthur.

Six playwrights depict their choices of statue-worthy women in StatueFest Two on Friday, April 16 at 7 pm EDT in a series of monologues. The readings, on Zoom, are part of a series to Put A Woman On A Pedestal.

Adrienne Barbeau created the iconic role of Rizzo in the original Broadway production of Grease- for which she secured a Tony nomination- went on to appear as Bea Arthur's daughter, Carol, in the hit TV series Maude- for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe- and is a best-selling author and recording artist. 

Producer and host Dennis Hensley will be joined by two different panels of some of LA's most creative, hilarious, and demented minds.

On Friday, March 19 at 7 pm (EDT) monologues by six playwrights will be seen in the world premiere of Put a Woman On A Pedestal, an on-line StatueFest of readings by Pauline David-Sax, Renee' Flemings, Allison Fradkin, Judith Pratt, Laura Shamas and Lucy Wang.
