Moving Roots, a creative touring network led by Battersea Arts Centre with producing partners Lyrici Arts (Medway), Jumped Up Theatre (Peterborough), Common Wealth (East Cardiff) and The Old Courts (Wigan), announced the launch of RENT PARTY.

Auditions will take place during the week of Monday 26 July and the course starts in mid-October 2021. The diploma takes place over two years at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Eton Avenue, London, NW3 3HY.

The Agency is a creative youth enterprise project working with young people from underrepresented areas to pitch ideas to a panel of experts. These ideas are specifically for developing and creating social enterprises, events, projects and businesses that will have a positive impact on their local communities.

The 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours have been announced. Among this year's honorees are some theatrical luminaries, as well as influential figures in the worlds of dance, music, literature, and more. 

Each of the five selected recipient receives £1000, as well as technical, marketing and creative support from Iris Theatre to develop and present their work as part of the Summer Festival. Each artist receives 50% of their production's box office revenue.

Theatre Royal Stratford East today announces that Kiran Landa will make her Stratford East debut and star in EXTINCT, a new one woman play written by April De Angelis and directed by Kirsty Housley.

Battersea Arts Centre today announced a partnership with the NHS to become the community Vaccination Centre for Wandsworth. From Monday 8 March 2021 residents from the borough will be welcomed into the Lavender Hill venue. They will receive vaccines, administered by trained NHS staff.

An art project and community enterprise that looks at innovative solutions to the often-ignored problem of illness, intimacy, sexual function and pleasure, has been launched. Battersea Arts Centre has announced a new, flexible residency for artists based in England to explore the future of live performance using the very latest in Extended Reality (XR) technology.
