The Actors Fund announced today that The Band's Visit has added a Special Benefit Performance for The Actors Fund. This benefit performance will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 7:30 pm at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street).

Producers announced today that a new block of tickets for the The Best Musical Of The Year (Terry Teachout, The Wall Street Journal), The Band's Visit will go on sale on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:00am (ET) for performances through Sunday, September 2, 2018. Featuring music and lyrics by David Yazbek, a book by Itamar Moses, based on the screenplay by Eran Kolirin, and directed by David Cromer, THE BAND'S VISIT opened on Broadway on Thursday, November 9, 2017, to the best reviews of the season, at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street).

Some notable writers who received early commissions from NYT, such as James Graham (This House, Finding Neverland), Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and The Cursed Child) and Zawe Ashton have plays being showcased. 

Robert Evans is a stand alone figure in Hollywood's history, and his 1994 memoire was enough to draw him back into the spotlight after a lull. According to the NY Post, said memoire THE KID STAYS IN THE PICTURE opens this week in London and may end up filling a theatre on Broadway.
