VV Brown Releases New Single 'Black British'

Artist, mother, activist, journalist, and teacher V V Brown, who took a 6-year hiatus from her musical career to attend to her mental health and focus on raising her two young children, makes her very welcome return with the release on March 27th of her uplifting, thought-provoking anthem “Black British”.

Inaugural Carmel Jazz Festival Set For This August

The inaugural Carmel Jazz Fest is scheduled for August 11 and 12, 2023, in Carmel, IN. The two-day festival will feature 30+ international, national and regional jazz, R&B and blues acts across eight stages throughout Carmel, including The Palladium, The Tarkington, Carmel Gazebo, Carter Green, The Studio Theatre, Midtown Plaza, Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael, Jazz on the Monon and pop-up performances.  The event includes an upscale art market, beer, wine and food vendors.

Chatham Baroque Presents THE JOY OF BACH, April 22 and 23

April 22 and 23, Chatham Baroque will perform in The Joy of Bach, a concert honoring the late Bach scholar Don O. Franklin, whose contributions to the performance and scholarship of Bach left indelible marks on Pittsburgh and the early music community at large. Chatham Baroque will be joined by some of Franklin's favorite collaborators for this musical homage.

Hackmatack Playhouse to Offer Two Youth Summer Theater Camps

Hackmatack Playhouse, in Berwick, Maine, is returning this summer with two theater opportunities for young actors. For the past 44 years, aspiring actors aged 7 to 13 have found their way to Hackmatack youth camp to develop their artistic voice and love for theater. The camp is a staple in the Seacoast region, providing many local kids with the experience of learning about theater in a rustic farm setting.
