DIXON PLACE, presents Marcus Scott's Tumbleweed on August 24, 2018 through August 26, 2018 (performances take place Today & Saturday, August 24 & 25 at 8:00pm & Sunday, August, 26 at 2:00 pm). Following an interracial family living in a townhouse within the Morningside Park area of New York's Upper West Side over the course of a weekend, TUMBLEWEED is a slice of life drama about a young girl named Willow whose off-putting natural hair combined with both her family's open acceptance of it and lack of maintenance, as well as her blooming womanism, causes controversy in the household.

Following the opening of the Company's first permanent home, Target Margin Theater has announced that 13 diverse artists, via three distinct programs, will be supported in 2018. The Company's new home, located in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, enables Target Margin Theater to deepen their support of the next generation of theater makers through its annual incubator LAB festival, it's five-year-old fellowship program, and its new artist-in-residency program.

The 52nd Street Project makes a difference in the lives of countless Hell's Kitchen (Clinton) kids by pairing them with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original theater. Perhaps the most poignant presentations made by The 52nd Street Project are those in its semi-annual Playmaking series, which features the Project's youngest Hell's Kitchen mentees-nine- and ten-year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education-writing for accomplished professional actors and revealing their work to a public audience for the first time. Accomplished professional actors including Sue Jean Kim (theater: Aubergine; film: Maggie's Plan, Bachelorette), Omar Metwally (film: Twilight: Breaking Dawn II, Rendition; TV: "The Affair," "Mr. Robot"), Stephen O'Reilly ("Inside Amy Schumer," "Orange is the New Black," "Girls"), Annie Purcell (The Coast of Utopia, Awake & Sing) and others will perform in Infinity and Beyond: The Ultimate Plays, the Project's Fall 2016 Playmaking show.
