Steep Theatre will make its much-anticipated return to production with the Midwest Premiere of Eboni Booth's Paris, opening June 18th.

Ms. Booth, a Drama Desk award-winning actor, made her Off-Broadway playwriting debut with the critically-acclaimed Paris at Atlantic Theatre Company in January of 2020.  Steep Ensemble Member Jonathan Berry, who has been at the helm of a slew of Steep hits over the years including Ike Holter's Red Rex and Simon Stephens' Birdland, directs.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. L. Doctorow’s best-selling novel of the same name. Ragtime will be presented June 1-26, 2022 (press opening: June 4) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Sarah Silverman will join the previously announced Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer and Maya Hawke in the cast. Cooper developed the new biopic together with Leonard Bernstein’s family. Maestro is Cooper's follow-up to his directorial debut, A Star is Born.

Diversionary announces the cast and creative team of the World Premiere Musical of EIGHTY-SIXED. Kevin Newbury will direct the World Premiere production of EIGHTY-SIXED by Jeremy J. King and Sam Salmond and choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly.

Playwrights Horizons will present Will Arbery’s Corsicana, directed by Sam Gold, June 2–July 10 (opening June 22) in the Mainstage Theater. In Corsicana, a small city in Texas, a woman with Down syndrome named Ginny and her half-brother Christopher are unmoored in the wake of their mother’s death.
