LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD Will Be Performed in Spanish at Theatre West This Month

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD (Catercita Roja) is Storybook Theatre's award-winning musical retelling of the famous fairy tale. There is a Granny at the Pianny, a funny wolf, and an adorable Little Riding Hood. There are opportunities for audience participation as Little Red Riding Hood goes through the woods to Granny's house. Fun for the whole family.

WestFest Opens This Week At Theatre West with THIS ALMOST JOY, A PERFECT EVENING, and More

WestFest 2022 will present two full weekends of shows, a different presentation each week, to entice the loyal audiences who have returned for WestFest every year, as well as to introduce new audiences to the richly varied work of the city's longest-running, continuously operating professional company. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8, Sundays at 2. Each week's program runs two hours, plus intermission.

STRANGER SINGS! THE PARODY MUSICAL to Return Off-Broadway This Fall

The award-winning, hit show Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical returns Off-Broadway this fall, transporting Playhouse 46 at St. Luke’s into satirized versions of Hawkins, Indiana and the Upside Down. Performances begin Monday, September 12th, with an official Opening Night set for Thursday, September 22nd.

For thirty-seven years, Theatre West has presented Storybook Theatre in presentations specially designed for young audiences. These are interactive musicals that invite audience participation, and have in many cases been the first experience that many children have had with live theatre. Storybook Theatre is a valued part of Theatre West.

CLASSIC COUPLES COUNSELING Moves To April 1 At Theatre West

Because of concerns regarding the Omicron variant of Covid-19, with an abundance of caution, the opening date of Classic Couples Counseling has been moved to April 1, instead of the originally scheduled March 4.

GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS to Resume in February At Theatre West

Storybook Theatre will present its musical version of the classic story Goldilocks And The Three Bears. There is plenty of audience participation as the children help Goldilocks in the comical forest adventure with the three bears. Goldilocks learns that bears can be people, too.

CLASSIC COUPLES COUNSELING Opens March 4 at Theatre West

Classic Couples Counseling comes to Theatre West in 2022. The production is written by Lloyd J. Schwartz, directed by Nick McDow Musleh, and produced by Garry Kluger and Benjamin Scuglia for Theatre West.

Mirage Theatre Company Presents Staged Reading Performance Of BROKEN DOLLS

Mirage Theatre Company has commissioned New Dramatists playwright Melisa Tien to create 'Broken Dolls,' an original theater work about the trafficking of women. As part of its New Blood readings series, Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., will present a staged reading of the play, adapted and directed by June Prager, Mirage Theatre Company's Artistic Director, on October 21, 2019 at 7:00 PM.

Australian Premiere Of TOP GUN! THE MUSICAL Comes to Melbourne Fringe

Salty Theatre presents the Australian Premiere of Top Gun! The Musical for TWO NIGHTS ONLY at Chapel Off Chapel! Originally produced during the Toronto Fringe, TG!TM was nominated for multiple Dora Awards, including Outstanding New Musical. In 2004, Top Gun! The Musical was selected to be part of the inaugural New York Musical Theatre Festival, alongside featured new musicals by Stephen Schwartz, Avenue Q's Marx and Lopez and Chicago's Kander and Ebb. Now, Salty Theatre is bringing together a stellar group of international artists to introduce Top Gun! The Musical to Melbourne.
