Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Road, Rte. 28 in Cotuit proudly presents JOY UNBOUNDED: A Gilbert & Sullivan Jubilee, music by W.S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan. This revue of both old favorites and hidden gems to be discovered is an original staged piece conceived and directed by Laura Garner with music direction by Geraldine Boles.

Act I will stage its production of The Mikado on August 7th through the 22nd at the Darkhorse Theatre located at 1410 Charlotte Ave. The cast features Whitney Rose Cone as Yum-Yum, James Rudolph as Ko-Ko, Daniel Sadler as Nanki-Po, and under the direction of Bob Fish, production director.

History tells us that London was caught up in some sort of Japanese fervor in 1885 when Gilbert and Sullivan debuted their newest comic opera, The Mikado or The Town of Titipu at the Savoy Theatre. And now, 124 years later, Nashville theatre-goers may find themselves in a similar state, thanks to a superior production of the entertaining work, which bows as the first show in the 20th anniversary season from ACT 1, one of Tennessee's best community theatre groups.
