Danielle Brooks appeared on TODAY to discuss her upcoming return to Broadway in The Piano Lesson. In the video, Brooks reveals that she used a piece from the play to audition for Julliard. She also teased her role in the musical film adaptation of The Color Purple. Brooks recently wrapped on the film and will be returning to the role of Sofia.
