Passim announced that it has awarded $40,000 to 24 musicians through its Iguana Music Fund. The Iguana Music Fund awards gifts annually to musicians for career building projects and for projects that provide community service through music. Established in 2008 after an anonymous donor approached Passim with the idea to start a program to support local artists' career growth, the fund provides grants from $500 to $2,000 for musicians with a New England connection.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announces the success of the 25th Annual Summer Gala, celebrating Bay Street's Silver Anniversary, which took place in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 9, 2016 to benefit Bay Street's theatrical, educational and community programs. The evening included a special performance of scenes from productions from the past 25 years directed by Will Pomerantz, as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, Live 'Fantasy Auction,' dinner and dancing. Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz also announced a new partnership with Jeffrey Seller, producer of Hamilton. Bay Street Theater will produce the new musical, The Man in the Ceiling by Jules Feiffer and Andrew Lippa, directed by Jeffrey Seller as part of the 2017 Mainstage Season.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the success of the premiere concert reading of the first act of DreamWorks Theatricals new stage adaptation of The Prince of Egypt which was part of Bay Street Theater's 24th Annual Summer Gala which took place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf on July 11, 2015 to benefit Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. ThePrince of Egypt features book by Philip LaZebnik (writer of Mulan, Pocahontas) and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked,Pippin, Godspell); both creators attended the Gala. Bay Street's Artistic Director Scott Schwartz directed the reading, Dominic Amendum was Musical Director, and casting was by Stewart/Whitley.

Bay Street Theatre announces its Second Annual Honors Benefit tonight, April 27 at East Hampton Point. This year the honorees are Hampton's Hometown Heroes include David Bray, Ana R. Daniel, Michael Grim and James Osburn. All four of the honorees support Bay Street as well as many other local businesses & non-profits in the Hampton's Community. The event starts with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and buffet followed by the presentation of awards, which will be kicked off by funny lady, Joy Behar, at 8pm.
