The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today the 2018 summer season of plays, musicals, and other works in development at the National Puppetry Conference, National Music Theater Conference, National Playwrights Conference, and Cabaret & Performance Conference.

Veteran Entertainment Personality/Author Nelson Aspen returns to Hollywood with his all new cabaret show, 'Just in Time,' at the showroom at Au Lac, Bar Fedora. One night only, Thursday June 21, 2018.

The August Wilson Theatre was the place to be last night as Mean Girls officially opened on Broadway! To celebrate the big night, some of Broadway's best, plus a handful of SNL cast members of past and present, walked the pink carpet before the curtain went up!

On Sunday and Monday nights, Broadway/television star Anita Gillette had a ball celebrating Irving Berlin.  Of course, she sang many Berlin standards, and a few unearthed gems.  But that's not what made the evening extra-special.  You see, Anita had a real-life friendship with the composer.  It all started during the creation of a Broadway show called Mr. President, written by Berlin, and starring Gillette.  

A stellar cast of Broadway's finest performers will be on hand Wednesday, April 11, when The New York Friars Club honors show business tour de force Jamie deRoy at a celebration marking her 30th anniversary as one of the Club's first eight female members. The event, Jamie deRoy, 30 Years a Friar, will be at The Friars Club, 57 East 55th Street, starting at 6 PM for cocktails, 7 PM for dinner and 8:30 PM for the show.

One day the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. will probably ask for Jim Caruso's lists of entertainers that have appeared on his Cast Party Stage at Birdland.

Don't Tell Mama is thrilled to present the return engagement of West End & Broadway star and Olivier Award-nominee Liz Robertson in 'Lerner Without Loewe,' an affectionate musical tribute to her late husband, Alan Jay Lerner, the internationally acclaimed author of My Fair Lady, currently in previews at The Vivian Beaumont Theatre and opening on April 19. Having debuted the show in a one night engagement last April, she now returns for three (3) performances -  Friday, April 13 at 7pm, Saturday, April 14 at 8pm, and Sunday, April 15 at 6pm. The evening is directed by Barry Kleinbort with musical direction by Ron Abel.

The Broadway at Birdland presented the Manhattan return of singer Lorna Dallas, who appeared on the historic stage on Mondaynight. After a two-decade absence, internationally acclaimed West End and New York legend Lorna Dallas returns to the world of cabaret with her new show, "Home Again," directed by Barry Kleinbort with Christopher Denny on piano. In "Home Again," Ms. Dallas performed beloved classics by Kern and Gershwin, alongside little-known gems by Kander, Ebb and Jerry Herman.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) is pleased to announce the 2018 MAC Award nominees. The nominees, in a majority of the categories, were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership. The MAC Board of Directors selected the nominees for Show of the Year. Special committees selected the nominees in the Ensemble Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Singing Entertainer (Female; Male), Recording (LaMott Friedman), Major Recording, Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories. The names of the songwriters in the Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories are being withheld during the voting period, but will be announced publicly as soon as the voting period concludes.

On Monday night, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer/actress Linda Purl, who teamed with female jazz orchestra DIVA in a new show called "Singing the Great Ladies of the Glamorous Nightclub Era."

Veteran Entertainment Personality/Author Nelson Aspen opens his new cabaret show, 'Just in Time,' at New York City's iconic Don't Tell Mama, April 5 and 12.

The stars came out for prominent entertainment personality, Richard Skipper, Sunday, February 11, in celebration of the celebrator - his birthday. Producer RUSS WOOLLEY gathered some stunning talent to serenade the host with the most at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on 42nd Street with songs and stories bringing on laughter, tears, and a lots of applause.

This morning, Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:00am, Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) hosted the official lighting ceremony for its new Broadway home, The Hayes Theater (240 West 44th street). Designed by David Rockwell of Rockwell Group, this landmarked, newly renovated venue has become, under Second Stage's ownership, the first Broadway theater dedicated exclusively to living American Playwrights.

Birdland Jazz Club will present vocalist Lorna Dallas in Home Again for one night only as part of the "Broadway at Birdland" concert series, on Monday, February 26, 2018 @7pm.

The New York Premiere of Party Face, a new comedy by Isobel Mahon('Glenroe,' 'Fair City') and directed by Amanda Bearse ('Married...With Children'), opened yesterday, January 22, at City Center Stage 2 (131 West 55th Street) for a run through April 8, 2018.
