Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of “Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd” on Monday, June 12, at 7 p.m. From the novel by Agatha Christie, the cunning tale of murder and deception is a brand new adaptation for the stage by Mark Shanahan, who will also direct. This summer, the Alley Theatre in Houston will stage the play’s world premiere production.

Written and directed by Mark Shanahan (NPR’s Ghost Light Series), the show is currently playing an eight-week limited holiday engagement at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), and has two weeks of performances left, with a final performance on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
