BWW Album Review: ABANDONED HEART by Michael Mott

In the wider world of pop culture, there's a bit of a misconception that Broadway performers and writers can only succeed in their own niche. Michael Mott's second album, Abandoned Heart, blows up that stereotype. The album (produced by Broadway Records) is chock-full of highly enjoyable pop songs that would not sound out of place alongside some of today's most-played hits.

The Theater People Podcast Welcomes Broadway Star and Recording Artist Morgan James

On Monday, September 11, Theater People podcast welcomes Broadway favorite Morgan James. For the episode, James shares her story of first moving to New York City to attend the Julliard School as a voice major. Attending Julliard had been a life-long dream and when she was wait listed, she had to get creative in order to make her admission a reality. After graduating and deciding to pursue a career in musical theater, James struggled to find work and had to figure out how she best fit into 'the business.'

The Theater People Podcast Welcomes Actress & Author Alexandra Silber and Tony-Winner Reed Birney

On Monday, August 7th Theater People podcast welcomes Alexandra Silber and Reed Birney in a two-part episode. In the first segment, Silber discusses her new novel 'After Anatevka' which tells the story of Hodel, the middle daughter in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, after the action of the beloved musical ends. Silber also discusses her career in The West End (THE WOMAN IN WHITE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and on Broadway (MASTER CLASS, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and shares how her life journey prepared her to write her book. In the second segment, Tony winner Reed Birney discusses his work in the provocative new production of 1984, a play based on George Orwell's 1949 novel.

Krystina Alabado, Ken Clark and More to Lead Andy Mientus Penned BURN ALL NIGHT

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Quinn, is pleased to present Burn All Night, with Book and Lyrics by Andy Mientus, Music by Van Hughes, Nick LaGrasta, and Brett Moses, Choreography by Sam Pinkleton, and Directed by Jenny Koons. Performances begin on Friday, August 18 and run through Friday, September 8 at OBERON, 2 Arrow Street, Cambridge.
