Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation today releases a new report examining diversity within UK drama schools. As a follow-up to the Foundation’s 2016 Centre Stage report, Centre Stage 2021 examines, through surveys and interviews, how 15 leading UK drama schools have addressed challenges highlighted in 2016 to build a more diverse and inclusive intake.

March is the month in which both Andrew Lloyd Webber and Stephen Sondheim celebrate their birthdays and on the same date (March 22), albeit 18 years apart. To mark the occasion, we are givng over four weeks to honour some of their finest moments on the London stage, taking each composer in turn to fete five memorable productions and then five outstanding performances. And so, below are five Lloyd Webber stagings that I shall long remember, several of which (COVID permitting) may be back amongst us in due course.

Drury Lane Theatre has announced its 2021/2022 Season will begin in September 2021. Drury Lane’s 66th Season includes Evita, The King and I, Steel Magnolias, Forever Plaid, and Holiday Inn. Drury Lane Theatre’s season runs September 2021 – July 2022 at 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.
