SILENT SKY Continues Clague Playhouse's 90th Season

'Silent Sky' by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Curt Arnold presents the real-life story of Henrietta Leavitt and the women working behind the scenes at the dawn of modern astronomy. Henrietta leaves her family in Wisconsin to join a group of women "computers" at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s, where she is not even allowed to touch a telescope or express an original idea. Balancing her dedication to science with family obligations and the possibility of love, she makes a breakthrough discovery that enables astronomers to calculate the distance between Earth and remote galaxies and stars. A celestial romance and true story of discovery. Featured in our cast are Brittany Nicole Gaul as Henrietta Leavitt, Jill Kenderes as Margaret Leavitt, Andrew Keller as Peter Shaw, Pam Matthews as Annie Cannon and Molly Clay as Williamina Fleming.

BWW Review: ASSASSINS at Pallas Theatre Collective

BWW Review: THE PHANTOM TOOL BOOTH at Ensemble Theatre

Much like Lewis Carroll's ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND and L. Frank Baum's THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF OZ, Norton Juster's THE PHANTOM TOLL BOOTH is a fantasy adventure. All three are perceived as tales for children, but, in reality, though they are intended to teach youngsters, the messages are often so complex that they go over the heads of their intended audience.

Keegan Theatre Presents World Premiere of MACK, BETH

The Keegan Theatre kicks off 2017 with the world premiere of Mack, Beth, a modern retelling of Shakespeare's tragedy by award-winning local playwright Chris Stezin. Mack, Beth is current and razor-sharp, with finely crafted, complex characters, taut storytelling, and all the intrigue audiences expect from this classic tale of greed and power.
