The Oldenburg Suite Concert at Feinstein's/54 Below Announces Performers

The award winning musical, book & lyrics by James Feinberg and music by Matthew Dylan Rose, is set to make its New York return, led by  Ben Steinfeld (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Merrily We Roll Along), Ben Roseberry (The Lion King), and singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine in her New York theatre debut.

SWEENEY TODD Will Be Performed at The Wallace Theater in October

An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!

Playwright Jessica Durdock Moreno is the 2021 recipient of the John Golden Award for Excellence in playwriting from the Faculty of NYU Tisch. Presented as a workshop production running in tandem with the Chain One Act Festival July 24th 2021 - August 15th 2021.

Michael Ritchie Announces Retirement From Center Theatre Group

Michael Ritchie announced that he will retire as Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group on December 31, 2021. Having taken over the position from Founding Artistic Director Gordon Davidson in January, 2005, for more than 16 years, Ritchie has led one of the country’s largest nonprofit regional theatres, producing and presenting 266 productions.

HARP Theatricals To Livestream Virtual Reading Of New Musical, THE YELLOW WALLPAPER

The NYC based theatre company will  present a virtual reading of a new original musical called The Yellow Wallpaper, with music by Eliza Randall and Book & Lyrics by Sam Norman. Based on the 1892 short story by Charlotte Perkins Gillman, The Yellow Wallpaper is a musical retelling of the feminist classic, written in isolation.
