Rehearsals are in full swing for the national tour of WAITRESS, the hilarious hit Broadway musical from Grammy Award-winner Sara Bareilles.

A moving tale about a man's refusal to give up his impossible dream, inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' masterpiece Don Quixote. Powerful, brutal, hilarious, and heartbreaking, MAN OF LA MANCHA celebrates the perseverance of someone who refuses to relinquish his ideals or his passion. The celebrated score includes 'The Impossible Dream,' 'I, Don Quixote,' and 'Dulcinea.'

The Mac-Haydn Theatre's own 'Impossible Dream' continues with the long-awaited return of Man of La Mancha, presented August 26 through September 5. A moving tale about a man's refusal to give up his impossible dream, inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' masterpiece Don Quixote.

The 2020 season opened with one of my personal favorites, PIPPIN.  It was the first Broadway show I saw. PIPPIN uses the premise of a performance troupe, led by the Leading Player, to tell the story of a young prince (son of Charlemagne) on his search for meaning and significance. 

Newcomer Xander James makes his Mac-Haydn debut as Georg Nowack after a ten-year hiatus from live theatre. James currently works as a professional musician based in New York City, and his previous stage credits include Henry in Next to Normal, Chip in ...Spelling Bee, and Jud in Oklahoma.

The Mac-Haydn Theatre kicks off its magical 2021 return season with the Stephen Schwartz musical, Pippin, opening July 29.

The Tony Award winning book by Terrance McNally and score by Stephen Flahrety and Lynn Ahrens, focus on events taking place over a century ago, but RAGTIME's content and messages remain highly relevant, and important, particularly given the current socio-political climate.

The Mac-Haydn Theatre presents the Flaherty and Ahrens masterpiece Ragtime, running July 25 through August 4.
