With a faculty led by Sam Carner, Adam Gwon, Andrea Daly, Kevin Hammonds, Marlo Hunter, Anna K. Jacobs, Andy Collopy and more, the Musical Creators' Institute pursues its mission to support up-and-coming lyricists, composers, librettists, and directors in building new work.

The Broadway Women's Fund has just released its third annual list of Women to Watch on Broadway.

As part of the Times Square Alliance’s Times Square New Year’s Eve webcast, Broadway actress and singer Jennifer Sánchez debuted the new music video for her song “Heartbeat” live in Times Square. The song was selected as a finalist and the Audience Choice Award winner in the TSA’s livestreamed Songs for Our City songwriting competition in June.

Broadway On Demand has announced the launch of The Artist Channels, a new section of the platform devoted to musical theatre composers and lyricists. The Artist Channels provide a digital space for theatre fans to explore the incredible talent of the musical theatre songwriters who are creating today's new musicals.

Feinstein's/54 Below will shine bright this Wednesday, February 5th at 9:30pm, with a star-studded cast set to perform new works by female composers and lyricists in support of Maestra Music.

Bright stars of Broadway perform a rockin' evening of musical theater by the women who make the music in this industry. Maestra is an organization founded by Georgia Stitt that exists to give support, visibility, and community to female composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, music coordinators, and musicians who are an underrepresented minority in musical theater. It's time for them to be heard.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre announces the line-up of directors for their 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival events will kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

Kaufman Music Center's annual showcase of some of the best new musicals headed to New York theaters will include shows by Academy Award Winner and 'Let It Go' songwriter KRISTEN ANDERSON-LOPEZ ('Frozen') and RICK ELICE ('Jersey Boys,' 'Peter and the Starcatcher'), plus music director ANDY EINHORN ('Bullets Over Broadway, 'Sondheim on Sondheim' & the upcoming 'Hello, Dolly' starring Bette Midler). The Human Race Theatre Company has introduced the lineup for its 2017-2018 Eichelberger Loft Season - a five-show collection of works that are sure to entertain as the organization begins its third decade of producing high-caliber professional theatre for Miami Valley audiences. The season, featuring one new musical and four plays, begins September 7, 2017.
