The exhibit celebrates a dynamic group of female songwriters and performers who come from diverse backgrounds and draw from a wide array of musical influences.

Carlile will return to the road this summer with her extensive “Beyond These Silent Days” headline tour. Special guests featured on the tour include Allison Russell, Ani DiFranco, Brittany Howard, Celisse, Indigo Girls, Katie Pruitt, Lake Street Dive, Lucius, Sarah McLachlan, Brittney Spencer, Tanya Tucker and Yola, with more names to be announced.

Kicking off the ceremony, the opening number will feature a special multi-nominee performance including Madison Cunningham, Falu, Nnenna Freelon, Kalani Pe'a, John Popper, and The Isaacs. Other artists scheduled to perform include current nominees Jimmie Allen, Ledisi, Mon Laferte, Allison Russell, and Curtis Stewart.

Today, artist, author and activist Allison Russell has released the remix of “All of the Women featuring Sa-Roc” produced by dim star. The dim star remix features an appearance from the Atlanta-based rapper Sa-Roc and chronicles Russell’s experience as a healthcare worker in Vancouver and the women she would encounter on the frontlines.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will take their lauded live show back on the road this summer with an extensive run of North American dates. Joining Rateliff and his band on tour at different stops will be Mavis Staples, Zach Bryan, Hiss Golden Messenger, Bahamas, Guster, Allison Russell, Celisse, Durand Jones & The Indications and more.

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Ali Sperry has released “Climber,” the latest from her forthcoming LP In Front Of Us, due out on March 11th. “In March of 2018, my friend Becca Richardson was sitting across from me in my music room, and as co-writes often go, we got to talking at length about our lives, plans, the music we were both making, our thoughts on the current government administration, and a topic that was very much in the spotlight and on our minds at that moment, the #MeToo movement,” Sperry told The Bluegrass Situation in the premiere.

With Owen Biddle on bass, Jen Gunderman on keys, Kai Welch on synth, and Sadler Vaden’s rip-roaring guitar, Sperry was able to explore a broader palette of colors, and channel into the music some of the innate anger that comes with being human. Listen to the new single now!
