Magnolia Network with Chip and Joanna Gaines have announced a forthcoming slate of family-friendly unscripted programming in development for Max. From ambitious large-scale competitions to out-of-the-box social experiments, this new premium content initiative will create a co-viewing experience in Max for families to watch and enjoy together.

Magnolia Network announced an all-new installment in the beloved “Fixer Upper” franchise, FIXER UPPER: THE HOTEL. The forthcoming series documents Chip and Joanna Gaines’s most ambitious project to date – renovating a historic building in downtown Waco to open Hotel 1928, a new boutique hotel just a few blocks from Magnolia Market at the Silos.

Watch on as home bakers travel to Waco, Texas, for a friendly, one-hour competition that celebrates the joy that comes from time spent in the kitchen. Filmed in front of a live audience at The Silos in Waco, Texas, six bakers are challenged to perfect a favorite sweet-treat recipe for a $25K cash prize and a chance to have their winning treat featured on the menu at Chip and Joanna’s bakery, Silos Baking Co.

Theatre Bay Area held its sixth-annual TBA Awards Celebration on Monday, November 4 at the Herbst Theatre. Featuring a a?oeradically inclusivea?? pricing structure, over 800 people attended the event, exceeding the previous year's attendance by nearly 20%.

Theatre Bay Area, one of the largest regional performing arts service organizations in North America, has announced the finalists of the 2019 TBA Awards. The sixth-annual TBA Awards Celebration will take place on Monday, Nov. 4 at the Herbst Theatre (401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco).

HGTV stars Christina Anstead (Christina on the Coast), Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab), and David Bromstad (My Lottery Dream Home) were joined on stage by the network's newest home renovation expert, New Kids on the Block singer Jonathan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer—a pilot), for a panel discussion about identifying and seizing new on-camera career opportunities. The group appeared today during the Television Critics Association (TCA) tour at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena hotel.

After attracting more than 17 million viewers during its highest rated season ever, which ended its 20-episode run on Jan. 7, the hugely popular HGTV series Love It or List It has been renewed for an additional 26 episodes. The series has aired on Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Starring designer Hilary Farr and real estate expert David Visentin, Love It or List It features the pair as they help homeowners make a difficult decision: love their existing home after Hilary remodels their space or purchase a new house that David finds to better fit the needs of the family. The new episodes are slated to premiere in late 2019.

In a sneak peek airing Saturday, January 5 at 10/9c, the HGTV series follows different newlyweds on their journey to finding and purchasing their first shared home. A significant milestone for any couple, this show not only offers insight into what a couple is looking for in a home, but it also provides an inside look at the dynamics of their relationship as they begin to lay the foundation for a “nest” of their own. The six-episode season of SAY YES TO THE NEST premieres on HGTV in March 2019.

Discovery, Inc., announced today that the relaunch of popular TLC home makeover series WHILE YOU WERE OUT, will debut as a co-produced series airing on TLC and HGTV simultaneously in 2019. WHILE YOU WERE OUT represents the first series co-production across Discovery's expanded Lifestyle portfolio, led by Chief Lifestyle Brands Officer Kathleen Finch, and following the company's acquisition of Scripps Networks earlier this year.

Alton Brown is revisiting the Good Eats library and renovating some classic episodes by adding new scenes, new science and new recipes. The result: Good Eats: Reloaded premieres Monday, October 15th at 9pm ET/6pm PT on Cooking Channel. The thirteen-episode series is both a celebration and update of favorite Good Eats moments, complete with Alton's signature humor and smart spin on food. And in true Good Eats fashion, fans can also expect cameras where they ought not be.

The most recent season of HGTV hit series Flip or Flop, starring divorced couple and business partners Tarek and Christina El Moussa, averaged a 1.06 live plus three day rating among viewers P25-54 during its Thursday 9-9:30 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. Since its return on May 31, the series delivered a 15-percent ratings increase over the prior season and was a top 5 cable program in its timeslot, attracting more than 19 million viewers.

Food Network teams up with People magazine to air 'Sexiest Chef Alive' special, according to Variety. The hour-long special will be in conjunction with the magazine's newest category in the “Sexiest Man Alive” issue: “Sexiest Chef.”

Hot on the heels of last year's monstrous seasonal special Just Another Zombie Holiday Show, Vampire Christmas is EXIT's latest foray into creating our own holiday classics, one twisted creature feature at a time. Co-written by longtime EXIT veterans and heroes of the indie theater scene, Allison Page and Stuart Bousel, and directed by Alejandro Emmanuel Torres, Vampire Christmas will provide an excellent escape from the usual Christmas-time fare, for the living and the undead alike.

With viewership of Flip or Flop up 18 percent over its prior season, HGTV has picked-up 15 additional half-hour episodes of the popular series starring divorced couple Tarek and Christina El Moussa. To date, the seventh season, which finales on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, has attracted more than 15.2 million viewers. The most recent episode on Thursday, August 2, ranked as the #1 cable show in the 9-9:30 p.m. timeslot among viewers P25-54. Flip or Flop will continue to spotlight Tarek and Christina as they buy dilapidated houses in Southern California, turn them into beautifully renovated homes and flip them for profit. With production underway, the new season is slated to premiere in Spring 2019. 

Food Network's hit series Food Network Star concluded on Sunday, August 5th, with chef and restaurateur Christian Petroni and food novelist Jessica Tom both named season 14 co-winners. Through nine arduous episodes of culinary challenges to test their cooking and on-camera skills, both Jessica and Christian impressed mentors and judges Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis, as they beat out 10 other culinary hopefuls for the ultimate title. But Christian and Jessica's journey could not have taken more different paths - Christian (Portchester, NY) thrilling early in the competition with his charismatic personality and decadent dishes, while fan-favorite Jessica (Princeton, NJ) was eliminated during the season but earned her spot back in the competition by beating other eliminated finalists on Star Salvation. One-by-one, Jessica and Christian overcame every obstacle thrown their way, proving they have what it takes to be a Food Network Star! Heading into the finale, the 14th season of Food Network Star has been watched by over 9 million viewers and has ranked within the top 5 cable programs in its 9pm timeslot for P25-54, with +4% YOY growth for Millennial viewers (P25-34).
