Cleveland Orchestra Releases Lineup for 105th Season

Today, The Cleveland Orchestra announces its 105th season of concerts at Severance Music Center from September 2022 to May 2023. Marking the 21st year of the ensemble’s acclaimed partnership with Music Director Franz Welser-Möst, showcasing extraordinary artistry and more ways of sharing music-making across multiple platforms. Highlights include 20 guest artist debuts, acclaimed guest conductors, and thirteen works being performed for the first time by The Cleveland Orchestra, including four world premieres and one U.S. premiere. Philharmonia Orchestra Announces 2022-23 London Season With Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali

The Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali, opens the season with two Mahler concerts alongside contemporary works. On 22 September Santtu conducts Mahler's Symphony No. 5, John Adams's 'Must the Devil Have All the Good Tunes?' with pianist and returning Southbank Centre resident Víkingur Ólafsson, alongside Philharmonia Featured Composer for the season Anna Clyne's 'Masquerade'.

Carnegie Hall Announces Teen Musicians Selected For 2022 National Youth Orchestra Of The United States Of America

Carnegie Hall today announced the names of the 109 outstanding young musicians selected from across the country for the ninth annual National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). The members of the 2022 orchestra—ages 16–19, hailing from 34 US states—have been recognized by Carnegie Hall as being among the finest players in the country following a comprehensive and highly selective audition process.

California Symphony Presents World Premiere in FRENCH IMPRESSIONS at the Lesher Center

 California Symphony and Music Director Donato Cabrera present the World Premiere of California Symphony's Young American Composer-in-Residence (2017-2020) Katherine Balch's Illuminate, the centerpiece of a program titled French Impressions. Mezzo-soprano Kelly Guerra and sopranos Molly Netter and Alexandra Smither, who were personally selected by the composer, will perform this new work.

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Announces Additions And Updates To The 2021/22 Concert Schedule

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra has announced several  updates to the 2021/22 schedule. Newly added artists include conductor David Danzmayr, cellist Alban  Gerhardt, Ensemble Intercontemporain, and Cincinnati Youth Symphony Orchestra concerto competition  winners Maxwell Fairman and Ari Webb. Additionally, Daniil Trifonov's solo piano recital has been rescheduled  for March 1, 2022. 

San Diego Symphony Announces Its Winter-Spring 2022 Concert Season

The San Diego Symphony today announced its winter-spring 2022 concert season, offering 31 performances of classical and contemporary masterworks and chamber music from January 15 through May 28. Presented as “Hear Us Here,” the season will give the San Diego Symphony the opportunity to bring its music to a wider audience, with concerts performed at nine venues in the city and across the County, including the Symphony's newest venue, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

Wallis Artistic Director Paul Crewes To Step Down, Transition To Artistic Advisor

Pioneering arts leader Paul Crewes, who has served since 2015 as the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts' first Artistic Director, steps down from his position at the end of this year and transitions to a new role as Artistic Advisor for the balance of The Wallis' 2021-2022 Season, it was announced by Michael Nemeroff, Chairman of the Board.

Individual Tickets For The Cleveland Orchestra's 2021-22 Season On Sale Now

The Cleveland Orchestra will open its 104th season on October 14 and 17, 2021, with performances featuring Franz Welser-Möst leading Cleveland Orchestra premieres of Richard Strauss's Macbeth and Joan Tower's A New Day (for cello and orchestra) with Alisa Weilerstein in a program that also includes Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony.
