Fans of the original staging of the 'Fall of the House of Usher' and theater-goers who enjoy productions with a bit of a spooky element for this time of year will likely enjoy the performance. But fans of Poe – the man, or just his other works – may need to temper their expectations.

SYNETIC THEATER will welcome in-person audiences back to the theater with terrifying tales from Edgar Allan Poe, THE MADNESS OF POE, choreographed by Irina Tsikurishvili and directed by Paata Tsikurishvili. 

Synetic Theater has announced the World Premiere of a new documentary, Transmogrification by Award-winning DC-based Azerbaijani filmmaker Shamil Najafzada. The film was shot in 2019 and followed the creation of Synetic Theater’s 2019 stage production Richard 3.0

Soon – and very soon, we hope – we will all be able to gather together at Synetic’s subterranean theatre in Crystal City and thrill to their latest exploits. But for as long as we may have to wait, Synetic’s streaming service is a gift, and a great way to introduce newcomers to their unique, invaluable artistry.

Shakespeare's Richard III has been no stranger to DC theatre goers this season. In true Synetic fashion, their current production turns a well known tale on its...crown.

Director Kent Gash charges the space with electricity and ardent, sincere emotion. Gash asks a lot of his cast in an intimate setting; Wig Out! is a physically immersive experience.
