Adam Blanshay Productions today announces the first UK Tour of What's In A Name?, adapted and directed by Jeremy Sams from the award-winning French film and stage sensation, Le Prenom, by Matthew Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patelliere. Internationally acclaimed comedy, What's In A Name? hilariously captures a particularly awkward family dinner party. The cast will star Joe Thomas (The Inbetweeners, Fresh Meat), James Lance (Jeeves and Wooster, Northern Soul), Summer Strallen (Top Hat, Young Frankenstein) and Alex Gaumond (Company, Dirty Rotten Scoundrel, Matilda). She begins imagining the inner lives of her customers that sparks her writing to take on a new topic for her…love. This rendition sees the previously male lead role Bobby now as the female Bobbie, portrayed by Rosalie Craig. This gender-swap is thanks to the direction of Marianne Elliott, who worked side by side with Sondheim on the revamping. The COMPANY 2018 London Cast Recording was recorded at RAK Studios in London. As previously reported, footage of the cast recording was preserved for a forthcoming documentary on the production.

On January 10, Theatre publisher Nick Hern Books will release an updated version of the libretto for Company. This edition features the complete revised book from the current gender-swapped West End version of the show, color production photographs, and an introduction by Sondheim's biographer David Benedict.
