The track was originally written for Jagged Little Pill The Musical and is featured in the show and on the official musical soundtrack, performed by Kathryn Gallagher and the cast.
The scene deals with the drug addition of the character Mary Jane Healy, played by Elizabeth Stanley, and how she battles with her demons, which are personified in the choreography.
Produced by Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift, Green Day), “Amy” was released last month to widespread critical praise after first debuting on TikTok, where it has garnered nearly 3 million views to date.
