CSC's ALLEGRO Cast and More Set for Panel, Performance at 92Y, 10/22

In advance of Classic Stage Company's rare production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's 1947 musical Allegro, CSC's artistic director Brian Kulick and Tony Award-winning director John Doyle lead a conversation on the legendary team's most personal, groundbreaking and little-known work. The discussion also includes Ted Chapin, president and executive director of Rodgers & Hammerstein: An Imagem Company, and cast members George Abud, Claybourne Elder, and Jane Pfitsch.

Lori Wilner, David Wohl, Annie Purcell, Michael Goldsmith and More to Star in AWAKE AND SING! at Huntington Theatre

Obie Award winner Melia Bensussen (Luck of the Irish, Circle Mirror Transformation) returns to the Huntington Theatre Company to direct Awake and Sing!, Clifford Odets' stirring American classic about a working-class Jewish family striving for a better future. Performances at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre begin Friday, November 7 and continue through Sunday, December 7, 2014.

West End's THE NETHER to Play Duke of York's Theatre, Jan. 30

Sonia Friedman Productions, Scott M Delman and Tulchin Bartner Productions present the West End transfer of Jennifer Haley's critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning The Nether. In a Headlong and Royal Court Theatre co-production directed by Jeremy Herrin, The Nether previews at the Duke of York's Theatre from 30 January 2015, opens on23 February and is booking for 12 weeks only to 25 April 2015.

Sonia Friedman Productions, Scott M Delman and Tulchin Bartner Productions present the West End transfer ofJennifer Haley's critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning The Nether. In a Headlong and Royal Court Theatre co-production directed by Jeremy Herrin, The Nether previews at the Duke of York's Theatre from 30 January 2015, opens on 23 February and is booking for 12 weeks only to 25 April 2015.

Jennifer Haley's THE NETHER to Transfer to the West End This Winter

The Royal Court Theatre and Headlong's co-production of The Nether by Jennifer Haley is coming to the West End. According to the Daily Mail, the play will run at the Duke of York's Theatre from January 30, 2015, starring original cast members Amanda Hale, Stanley Townsend, Zoe Brough and Isabella Pappas.

Karen Carpenter to Direct HANDLE WITH CARE at the Colony Theatre, 11/5-12/14

The Colony Theatre will present the third production of its historic 40thAnniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of HANDLE WITH CARE by Jason Odell Williams, directed by Karen Carpenter. HANDLE WITH CARE will preview on Wednesday, November 5; Thursday, November 6; andFriday, November 7 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, November 8 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, December 14, with no performances Thanksgiving week.

Performances of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM ended last night, October 12, 2014.

Cast Announced for The Old Globe's GLOBE FOR ALL Free Shakespeare Tour, Beginning 10/28

The Old Globe invites your participation and coverage as it begins presenting shows through an exciting new producing platform, Globe for All. This free-of-charge tour of a professional production of Shakespeare will allow the theatre to serve more communities throughout San Diego by collaborating with a diverse range of local organizations. Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein directs the first production, Shakespeare's fascinating romance All's Well That Ends Well. He has cast local professional actors, including recent graduates of the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program. The first Globe for All free Shakespeare tour will begin October 28 and will culminate in three low-cost performances on November 7 to 9 in the Globe's Hattox Hall, part of the Karen and Donald Cohn Education Center in the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Round House Theatre Stages FETCH CLAY, MAKE MAN, Now thru 11/2

Round House Theatre continues its 2014/15 season with the area premiere of Fetch Clay, Make Man by Will Power. Directed by Derrick Sanders ('The Raisin Cycle' at CenterStage), Fetch Clay, Make Man is based on the true story of the improbable friendship that formed between Muhammad Ali and Stepin Fetchit. A co-production with Marin Theatre Company, Fetch Clay, Make Man runs at Round House Theatre from today, October 10 thru November 2, 2014. Opening night is Monday, October 13, 2014.

Elaine Bromka Stars in TEA FOR THREE at Smothers Theatre Tonight

Particularly pertinent in an era of heightened politics, TEA FOR THREE: Lady Bird, Pat & Betty humanizes the political scene with a whimsical and deeply moving performance at Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre at 7:30 p.m. tonight, October 9.

Northlight Theatre to Present THE MOUSETRAP, 11/7-12/14

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie, directed by Jonathan Berry. The production will run at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, from November 7 - December 14, 2014. The press opening is Friday, November 14, 2014 at 7:30 pm.

HOW WE GOT ON: a Coming-of-Age Story Set During the Golden Age of Hip-Hop Comes to the Outcalt Theatre 10/24–11/16

Cleveland Play House proudly introduces their production of How We Got On, the coming-of-age story of three teens whose passion for hip-hop and determination to succeed generates creativity, artistry and friendship. Playwright Idris Goodwin's How We Got On will delight Cleveland audiences with its uplifting message and great grooves. Directed by Jaime Castañeda, and featuring an eclectic cast of actors including Cleveland School of the Arts graduate Cyndii Johnson, How We Got On is sure to have audiences of all ages feeling the beat October 24 - November 16 in the Outcalt Theatre at PlayhouseSquare. Linda Purl Stars in THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING, Beginning Tonight at Laguna Playhouse

The Laguna Playhouse Executive and Artistic Directors, Karen Wood and Ann E. Wareham are thrilled to present the second show of their 2014-2015 season, THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING by Joan Didion and directed by Jenny Sullivan (Steel Magnolias). 'To have Linda Purl on our stage with one of the more powerful pieces of theatre I have come across is just a triumph that our audiences and subscribers are going to treasure,' offers Wood. 'Jenny Sullivan is quite simply one of our best theatre directors working today and to have her bring her magic touch to the powerful words of Joan Didion is simply a dream realized,' adds Wareham. THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING will begin previews tonight, October 8 and will open on Saturday, October 11 at 7:30pm and run through Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center Kicks Off 2014 Prelude Festival Today

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at The Graduate Center, CUNY presents the 2014 PRELUDE FESTIVAL. The annual festival is dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theatre and performance. Following the enormous success of its tenth anniversary in 2013, the eleventh annual PRELUDE festival will be curated by Chloe Bass, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Sarah Rose Leonard, Allison Lyman, and Frank Hentschker.
