BWW catches up with the team behind Tea and Milk to chat about bringing the show to the 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Jiggs Jurgess’ The Red Suitcase world premieres August 12, 2023, at the Broadwater Theatre Main Stage. Del Shores directs this co-production of P3 Theatre Company, the Del Shores Foundation and Beard Collins Shores Productions with the cast of Emerson Collins, Kristen McCullough, Bruce Melena, Charlotte Louise White, Mat Hayes, Pam Trotter and Tiago Santos. Emerson was most gracious in finding time to answer a few of my queries.

Produced by Raina’s brother Jake Sokolov-Gonzalez, mixed by Grammy Winning engineer Jon Rosenberg and mastered by 2x Grammy Nominated engineer Ryan Schwabe, sonically “The Healing” is an intentional song, from the lyrics to the arrangement, every detail plays an important part. The song blends Jazz and R&B with Gospel elements.

Chicago singer, songwriter, and guitarist Nathan Graham has signed with Pravda Records (Andre Williams, The Flat Five, Steve Dawson) for his debut album, Saint of Second Chances. The first preview of the upcoming 10-song set arrives as a music video for lead single “Pride,” directed by Rudy Rubio and premiering at DittyTV.

Noelle's last album was released in Jan. of this year. The song had it's world premiere on KCRW with DJ Travis Holcombe. Sara Noelle is a singer-songwriter who creates indie-folk and ambient-inspired music. Her third full-length album, Do I Have to Feel Everything, produced by Dan Duszynski, was released in January.

Schall and Schmidt are a lovely duo providing a vintage feel of a 1940’s supper club. Wrapping his vocals with his pleasing tenor and a deep resonant lower register, Schall takes on standards of old and what he calls the new standards of the 1970s Baby Boomers. His opening set is “S Wonderful” as he takes on some of the most popular standards of old including “I Can’t Give You Anything but Love, Baby,” and “Almost Like being in Love.” The diners are also treated to his unique takes on Lerner and Loewe’s “Wouldn’t it be Loverly,” and “On the Street Where You Live” from MY FAIR LADY. His second set included some of the biggest hits of the late 1960’s and 1970s with “Up on the Roof,” “New York State of Mind,” “Both Sides Now,” and more. Schmidt accompanies him splendidly on piano and helps return romance to dining in an intimate setting where you come for a leisurely dinner and to be entertained by a skilled musician accompanying an outstanding vocalist.

Country music singer/songwriter and recording artist Sam Ferrara will be releasing her highly anticipated new album 'Piece of Me' on Friday, July 28th.
