ROMEO & BERNADETTE Will Transfer to Theatre Row

Producer Eric Krebs, has announced today that the Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, and directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen will move from the 99-seat Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theatres to the 199-seat Theatre 3 (formerly The Acorn) at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th and Dyer Avenues) for an open-ended engagement.

Thin Lear Announces Full-Length Album 'Wooden Cave'

Queens-based indie artist Thin Lear shares the new track 'Maniacs' today, with news of his first full-length album Wooden Cave, to be released via EggHunt Records on April 24th. 'Maniacs' comes as a cross between Hot Chip and Sufjan Stevens, with the cinematic cleverness of DeVotchKa, in a narrative that explores human interaction and internet habits. The song rises and falls in a roller coaster of emotions, indicative of what's to come on Wooden Cave.

Amas Musical Theatre's Off-Broadway premiere of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn is underway at the Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street). Award-winning Porchlight Music Theatre has announced that Arlen and Elaine Cohen Rubin will be honored with The Luminary Award at the ICONS Gala celebrating 25 years of Porchlight as the center for music theatre in Chicago, Monday, March 23, at the Ritz-Carlton, 160 E. Pearson St. The Chicago-based couple will join Broadway legend Joel Grey who will be in attendance to receive the ICON Award at the 2020 ICONS Gala with proceeds benefiting Porchlight's artistic and youth education programs.

Jann Arden to be Inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at The 2020 JUNO Awards

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) is thrilled to announce multi-platinum award-winning singer and songwriter Jann Arden as the first 2020 inductee into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. With accolades that include 19 top 10 singles and eight JUNO Awards, Arden is a beloved Canadian musical artist and personality. Previews begin at the Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theatres 502 West 53rd Street (10th Avenue & 53rd Street) tomorrow night, Tuesday, January 14th at 7pm with an official opening on Thursday, January 23rd at 8pm. Performances will continue through February 16, 2020.

The NYC Department of Cultural Affairs has announced $51.3 million in grants to support public cultural programming at 985 organizations across New York City as part of its fiscal year 2020 annual funding cycle. The funds support groups working in a vast range of disciplines, serving audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Together, the hundreds of cultural organizations receiving this support form the backbone of New York City's vibrant cultural life. The total includes funding set aside for underserved communities and major new investments in nonprofits that directly support individual artists working throughout the city. The agency continues to prioritize funding equity for culture in every corner of NYC and support for goals outlined in the CreateNYC cultural plan.
