 Narayanan Headshot

BIO

Shoba grew up in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Her affinity for music and dance was ignited at an early age through her exposure to the performing art forms of both East and West.

At age 5, Shoba was enrolled in the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, where she trained for the next 14 years. Simultaneously, Shoba also began to learn Bharatanatyam, the Indian Classical Dance. She completed her arangetram, and continued to perform at a professional level in India and the U.S.

Shoba had also begun taking voice lessons and learning Carnatic music in parallel with her dance education. When she was 9, she appeared in Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, the first of her many musical theater performances.

After graduating from high school, Shoba was accepted into The Boston Conservatory. She entered the conservatory’s prestigious Musical Theater program and graduated with a BFA.

Since her graduation, Shoba has signed with Abrams Artists Agency and has appeared in Off-Broadway and on television. Based in New York City, she is now seriously pursuing her passion for the theater, film & tv and hopes to make her mark in the entertainment field.
