New Ohio Theatre's Artistic Director Robert Lyons proudly presents the 26th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival, featuring seven new works over seven weeks, June 26 - August 10, at New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.

'Trick or Treat,' an absorbing dark comedy, is now on stage at 59E59 Theaters for a limited engagement through February 24. Written by Jack Neary, the show features the finest direction by Carol Dunne and an excellent cast.

The exciting NYC premiere of 'Alone It Stands,' written and directed by John Breen, is now on stage at 59E59 Theaters through January 27 as part of the Origin's 1st Irish Festival.

The Acting Company (Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) honored director and artistic leader Bill Rauch and the married civic leaders Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel and Ambassador Carl Spielvogel- individuals whose exemplary work aligns with the artistic and educational ideals of the storied repertory company that produces nationally recognized theater productions and arts education programs-at the Company's 2018 Fall Gala, on November 12. Held at the historic Metropolitan Club (One East 60th Street), the event raised nearly $400,000 and brought together awards, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, dinner, and cocktails in celebration of theater and its contribution to American society. Tony Award-winner and The Acting Company alumna Harriet Harris hosted, with performances by Joanna A. Jones (Hamilton) and Tatiana Wechsler, featuring Russ Kaplan's Broadway Jazz. 

The World Premiere of 'A Real Boy' is now onstage at 59E59 Theaters through August 27. Written by Stephen Kaplan and directed by Audrey Alford, this cleverly staged show provides a view of how parenting, education, and government policy can affect a young child.

On Sunday night, Delta Air Lines announced that they were ending their four-year-old sponsorship agreement with the Public Theater over their current Shakespeare in the Park production of JULIUS CAESAR. The play, which is set to open at Central Park's Delacorte Theatre on Monday, depicts the Roman dictator in a way that calls to mind President Donald Trump. 

'Kunstler,' a compelling portrayal of the high profile trial lawyer William Kunstler, is now being performed at 59E59 Theaters through Sunday, March 12th.

Of the three shows currently running at the Guthrie, THE ROYAL FAMILY is definitely the lightweight, longer on comedy and razzle-dazzle production values than on importance. (The other two shows are KING LEAR and PROMISE LAND, a barebones physical theater take on the Hansel and Gretel tale retold as an immigrant story.) Loosely based on the Barrymore acting clan, THE ROYAL FAMILY follows three generations of a prominent and wealthy family of performers, with particular attention to the female line.

You won't want to miss 'Made in China' now at the 59E59 Theaters through February 19th. It is an entertaining, socially relevant adult puppet show that is full of humor and heart.

'Life is for Living: Conversations with Coward' is now onstage at 59E59 Theaters through January 1st. This very engaging show is co-created and performed by Simon Green and David Shrubsole with research by Jason Morrell. The performance is an inspired tribute to the life and times of Sir Noel Coward.

The producers of the Tony, Grammy & Olivier Award-Winning Best Musical Jersey Boys recently announced that the Broadway production will end its record-breaking, 11-year run today, Sunday, January 15, 2017 after 4,642 performances at the August Wilson Theatre (245 W 52nd St, NYC).

Michael Hanna plays middle son Geoffrey in James Goldman's tale of a king and his family on the eve of Christmas that's a complete change from the happy holiday show across the building. THE LION IN WINTER plays through Dec. 31.

Holiday gatherings of dysfunctional families are nothing new. James Goldman's crackling script for THE LION IN WINTER is set at Christmas 1183, and since the family is a royal one with questions of succession looming, the scheming and double-crossing are fevered.

Collide Theatrical Dance Company is now in their fourth season of creating 'original Broadway-style jazz dance musicals.' As a theater geek who doesn't know much about dance but loves to watch it, Collide provides an accessible and theatrical way to get into dance. I've seen all of their productions over the last four seasons, and their newest creation DRACULA may just be my favorite of them all. Collide is at their best when they let the dancing do the talking, as they do here, telling this modernized story of the iconic Dracula strictly through movement and music. A live band accompanies this fantastic troupe of dancers as they perform innovative and evocative choreography to a wide variety of popular songs reinvented to fit the story. Created by Artistic Director and choreographer Regina Peluso and director Joshua Campbell, this DRACULA truly is a perfect collision of dance, music, and theater to create a new and exciting form of storytelling.

Leslie Caron, star of the Academy Award-winning film AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, was in attendance last night at the Tony Award-winning stage production for the first time.  She took a bow with the cast following the performance and BroadwayWorld was there for her big moment. Check out photos below!
