Theater for the New City's Love 'N Courage Gala on Feb. 12 will support its Emerging Playwrights program. The event will honor playwright Penny Arcade and feature performances at The Players.

The Love Show NYC has announced the full cast for its special holiday edition of Gl'Amour! The performance is on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 7:30 PM. Learn more about the performers here!

The Love Show comes tearing into the Lower East Side‘s iconic Arlene's Grocery with “The Bride: A Kill Bill Ballet”.

ChaShaMa held a kick-off party celebrating BroadwayHD, the premiere theater streaming service, at Anita's Way in Times Square.

With the roster still building, Theater for the New City has currently scheduled over 200 performing arts organizations, independent artists, poets, puppeteers and film makers for its 28th annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, which will be mounted May 26 to 28 in and around Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave. (at E. 10th Street). Admission is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.

The Love Show NYC takes on The Lower East Side with “Edward: A Holiday Rock Ballet” at the iconic Arlene’s Grocery. From director/choreographer Angela Harriell and the dance company who brought you “Nutcracker: Rated R”, comes an homage to Tim Burton’s classic film “Edward Scissorhands”.

With the roster still building, Theater for the New City has currently scheduled over 190 performing arts organizations, independent artists, poets, puppeteers and film makers for its 27th annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, which will be mounted May 27 to 29 in and around Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave. (at E. 10th Street).

Theater for the New City's Emerging Playwrights Program will be beneficiary of the theater's 19th annual Love 'n Courage benefit Monday, February 14, 2022 at The Players, 16 Gramercy Park South.  The evening honors Austin Pendleton, Drama Desk and Obie winner, Tony Award nominated actor, playwright, theater director and teacher.

Theater for the New City's Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, which had to be presented virtually last year, returns May 28-30, 2021 as an indoor and outdoor live audience event with an emphasis on safety.

The Love Show will present its Feel Good Family Christmas online this month. 20 performers uniting in dance, song, magic and burlesque bringing the warmth and wonder of the holidays right into your home.

Inspired by its success November 14 of 'Open 'Tho Shut,' an afternoon of 'walk-by theater' staged in its set shop and visible from East Tenth Street, Theater for the New City will present its second installment of the innovative presentation on Saturday, November 21 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

An immersive feast for all the senses, 'Brooklyn Beerlesque' allows guests to sample a flight of Brooklyn Brewery's world renowned craft brews, each paired with an intoxicating performance. Both the beer and the dance will run the gamut of styles from delicate and nuanced to brash and robust.
