Musical theater performers must do it all and make it look easy. The actors appearing in Godspell at Players Circle Theater more than meet the challenge with exuberance. They act, sing, and dance and then add pantomime, funny accents, and playing musical instruments to the mix.  And get up close and personal with the audience, making eye contact without missing a beat.

Players Circle Theater is ready to raise the roof with their largest production to date, GODSPELL, running April 16th – May 12th, 2024.

Eagle Theatre is less than two weeks from opening a world-premiere comedy called Gary by renowned local playwright, Bruce Graham. This original work examines human nature and interaction through a futuristic lens, using the backdrop of AI, or artificial intelligence, to tell a story about genuine communication in a world of convenience and comfort.   

Eagle Theatre Conservatory is now officially a year-round theatrical institute for all ages, with classes designed for working professionals, pre-professionals, and aspiring stars of tomorrow.

The 4th Official New Jersey Fringe Festival, a 3-day street fair and theatrical marathon, will take place in Downtown Hammonton from August 2nd - August 4th, 2019. Access to the outdoor festival area is free and open to the public. Streetmosphere performers, live music, interactive pop-up art, food trucks and a craft beer and wine garden will line the streets.

On Friday, March 22nd, 2019, Eagle Theatre opens a new play by Mexican-American playwright Karen Zacarias, that pushes the boundaries and shatters biases one laugh at a time. This flower-flinging romp, running till April 14th, 2019, explores what happens when cultures clash and neighbors get nasty.

Eagle Theatre has just closed the doors on a successful sold-out run of their Theatre Philadelphia Barrymore Nominated production of Ragtime. Yet, the creative team at Eagle Theatre have already begun preparing for their upcoming Regional Premiere of Karen Zacarias's new flower-flinging romp, Native Gardens, running March 22nd - April 14th.

2018 brought in a number of popular shows and events from the stages of Philadelphia and suburbs, right down to the Jersey Shore. Wish I could have seen them all. It was a difficult to choose from so many great offerings. So here are my picks.

Eagle Theatre's season finale, The Spitfire Grill - The Musical, opens tonight! But, there is more than just holiday magic cooking at South Jersey's only year-round professional equity theatre. This non-profit has decided to take the season of giving to the next level by spreading its philanthropic wings. Throughout the run of The Spitfire Grill - The Musical, November 16th - December 16th, actors from the production will be participating in a post-performance basket donation. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to another local non-profit organization, AVANZAR, formerly known as Atlantic County's The Women's Center, dedicated to empowering individuals and families by working to secure their physical safety, emotional well-being, and individual freedom.
