The all-new production of the Tony Award-winning Broadway classic, PETER PAN is now playing at Ordway Center for the  Performing Arts. The North American Tour Company celebrated its launch on Thursday, December 14 with an opening night  “green” carpet event. See photos from the event. 

 Broadway On Demand will present the online world premiere of the drive-in concert production of the new musical SuperYou by Lourds Lane, the journey of a woman who reconnects with her dreams when her superheroine creations come to life, during Women’s History Month, Friday, March 5 at 8:00 PM ET.

SuperYou was previously scheduled to open off-Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre today, May 27, but plans have been postponed. It's hot out at Serenbe Playhouse this month.  But the heat isn't coming from the oppressive Georgia-in-August sun.  It's coming from the racy and enthralling production of Kander and Ebb's Cabaret on display at the Kit Kat Club, a neon-framed outdoor cabaret club, complete with cabaret tables flanking a long runway stage, very scantily clad cocktail waitresses, and an elevated first-rate orchestra.  This impressive site-specific setting dazzlingly supports a talented cast, and celebrated visionary director Brian Clowdus, who takes on the role of The Emcee in this production, powerfully showcases the unsettling relevance of the beloved 1966 musical.

I've seen several stagings of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT over the years, and I've always enjoyed the Tim Rice (book and lyrics) and Andrew Lloyd Webber (music) show each time. However, STAGES St. Louis has really outdone themselves with their latest production of this exuberant musical. The piece has always lent itself to approaching it with a great deal of imagination and creativity, since it's chock-full of hilarious, anachronistic humor and song, and this production takes full advantage of that fact. This show is a real treat, with strong performances and plenty of fun to go around, and I highly recommend it!

Songs in the Key of Equality is proudly teaming up again with Swish Ally Fund for a night of inspirational performances by Broadway and NYC cabaret performers. This annual event will be held on Monday, April 3 at 8 p.m. at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City.
