As theater continues to recover from the pandemic interruption, First Folio Theatre has announced its 2022-2023 season. The final season begins with a classic farce: JEEVES INTERVENES by Margaret Raether based on the works of P.G. Wodehouse, which runs November 5 through December 4, 2022.

Shakespeare & Company and the Berkshire Mountain Comedy Arts Festival have announced Kevin Bartini & Friends, an evening of comedy to be staged on Saturday, March 26, at 8 p.m., featuring BMCAF's Artistic Director Kevin Bartini as Master of Ceremonies and two other headlining acts: comics Rick Younger and Kerri Louise.

First Folio Theatre will present the World Premiere of Agatha Christie’s The Secret Council, adapted by David Rice. The show will preview January 26th - 28th, open January 29th, and run through February 27th, 2022.

First Folio Theatre’s Board of Directors has announced that Founding Executive Director David Rice will be stepping down in the spring of 2024. In conjunction with that decision, the Board has also determined that First Folio will cease operations at the end of the 2023-2024 season.

First Folio Theatre will present an online streaming production of WHY DOGS DON'T TALK, by Dean Monti, adapted by David Rice.  Man's best friend is his dog. So it must follow, then, that a dog's best friend is…well, his human, right?

After the company’s first summer away from Austin Gardens park in 46 years in 2020, Oak Park Festival Theatre returns to its outdoor home, located in downtown Oak Park, with “The Tempest,” by William Shakespeare, directed by Barbara Zahora. The production will be staged July 15-Aug. 21. 

In its continuing mission to help address the absence of live theater performances, First Folio Theatre will offer a streaming video recording of MADMEN & PRISONERS: TWO TALES BY POE, adapted for the stage by David Rice and directed by Skyler Schrempp.

First Folio Theatre has announced that they are postponing their first two scheduled productions of the 2020-2021 season.

 As a way to help address the absence of live theater performances, First Folio Theatre will offer a streaming video recording of the award-winning Cymbeline: A Folk Tale with Music, directed by Michael Goldberg. Adapted from Shakespeare's romance by David Rice with original music and lyrics by Michael Keefe and David Rice, this production was recorded live during a 2013 performance on First Folio's outdoor stage. The show will be streaming on the Vimeo video service June 3 a?" 14. With an original bluegrass/gospel score played by the cast members themselves, Cymbeline is just the tonic folks need in these difficult times.
